Really good lesson 🎵🎵thank you ,Tomas

I'm just learning guitar and have watched quite a few channels on here. You are an amazing teacher!! You are the only one who explains things so clearly, so that it's not overwhelming and easy to grasp and then practice. Thanks so much! 😊👍

شكرا جزيلا لكم على هذا العزف الرائع والراقي والقناة الرائعة

Hi great video! I have been playing Malaguena for over a year on my Baritone Uke tuned DGBE same as strings 1-4 on a Guitar like your playing here. I have been playing the acoustic Guitar for about 5 weeks now and play this daily like I do on my Uke. I have followed many content creators here on YouTube teaching this famous Spanish song, and I learned it a little differently.  Most teachers on YouTube have been teaching it using only the thumb for the beginner level and played nice and slow while increasing in speed a little at a time after a few rotations until it can be done fast but clean. Then they teach the more intermediate version that you are doing here, but they recommend using the thumb and middle finger not the index finger. The reason they teach with the middle finger and not the index finger is because they are preparing you for when you are ready for the more advanced fingerpicking version done using triplets.  So you do thumb, then the middle finger on the 1st string followed by the index finger on the same 1st string. This way if you have already been practicing using your middle finger, then you don't have to retrain how your fingers move. It is very difficult and  unnatural to do thumb, index, middle and it is more natural and easier to do thumb, middle, index. So when I play Malaguena, I start off slowly with level one using only the thumb and little by little getting faster, followed by the thumb and middle finger, then graduating towards the end with the triplet version of thumb, middle, index.

A great tutorial with good visuals. Perhaps a popular bossa nova for beginners to practice for the next video that sounds good and makes practicing enjoyable.
