The worst part for me about the sniffer is that the TORCH flower it can dig up doesn't even glow. The TORCH. FLOWER. WHY?? It could've been such a cool way to light up builds
āItems should be Multi Purposeā is a HILARIOUS thing to see after all these recent updates. all these stupid one note features cannot be considered multi purpose
personally iāve never moved passed how happy the horse update made me. i remember genuinely crying as a kid when the update finally came out, so nothing will top that one for me š
28:26 what? Am I the only one who actually uses bundles? Theyāre great for cave exploration, especially when youāre looking for multiple different ores or materials and you craft them into blocks.
to be fair, polar bears add a little to the kinda barren ice biomes. you can say pigs are useless when cows give you leather and the same amount of food
the worst part about adding new animals is that they don't even drop meat when killed. in a survival game, i don't have time to discuss ethics when i'm about to die from hunger. and every new player i've seen has tried to kill these animals only to realize they didn't get anything, and so they become disappointed.
21:39 One time I was playing one of my first hardcore worlds, and a goat knocked me off a mountain and killed me. Iāve never been so embarrassed and angry in my life
Problem with phantoms is that they force the player at gunpoint to skip every night, further trivializing the "night is scary and bad" survival part of the game that was ripped out. I'd have much preferably taken any other mob in that vote.
5:39 1.11 was when firework rockets interacted with elytras. Between 1.9 and 1.11, elytras were purely a downwards gliding tool with no upwards momentum
āthe whole point of the game is to kill big scary creatureā This is why minecraft updates will never please everyone. Statistically, players who are casual explorers/builders make up a lot more of the player base than we realise. To Mojang, these players who treat the game as a sandbox and not a boss rush are as important, if not more important to please. I do think there is a middle ground but a lot of people only critique the game from the action/adventure camp. Thereās plenty of games where combat is the focus, minecraft itself literally has spin offs just related to combat. I agree the Warden should drop something for conflict oriented players. But, the horror aspect of slower gameplay, distracting and sneaking around an āalmostā invincible enemy is more unique than just another boss fight. Iām not against new boss fights, but the Warden as a concept works well. Mojang knows it can more easily please a lot of people just by adding new building blocks, āuselessā mobs and little exploration flavourings. Although, I do hope theyāre cooking an End update or Deepdark dimension along with a boss or mobs that incorporates the new windcharge/spear/mace combat updates.
