I'm honestly pretty excited about FRLG coming to the Switch! Lots of secrets to uncover with these titles coming to the switch!
Some of these secrets are mind blowing tbh

The Pattern Bush only having bug pokemon in it is hilarious to me

10 THINGS THAT ARE NOT MENTIONED IN THIS VIDEO BUT YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE PLAYING THEM:
1. This game is prior to the Physical/Special split. All the types Eevee evolves into + Dragon are Special, all the rest are Physical.
2. There are different game exclusive pokémon than in Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee. There are some more in FRLG and also certain Johto pokémon.
3. Most abilities don't work outside of battle in FRLG. Only Stench, Illuminate & Pickup work, the rest doesn't. No Flame Body/Magma Armor for breeding. No Harvest.
4. You need to have caught at least 60 species of pokémon to get the National Pokédex & be able to evolve Golbat into Crobat.
5. Just like Misty in the anime, you can get a Togepi egg in the post-game.
6. If you defeat Lorelei over & over, her house will accumulate more & more plushies. At 200 defeats she'll get a Lapras plushie.
7. This game is the debut of Unown ! & ?.
8. Once Deoxys is caught in FireRed it'll revert to it's Attack Form, meanwhile this will be it's Defense form in LeafGreen. They have also different moves on Birth Island.
9. The Dive Ball is unobtainable unlike Ruby, Sapphire & Emerald. Getting balls in large quantities that aren't Poké, Great, Ultra or Premier are also difficult.
10. You collect a Ruby & Sapphire in the post-game to access trading to Ruby, Sapphire & Emerald exclusively. It's very likely these games also will be released at a later point in time.

Also a tip: Parasect only has Effect Spore so it's not great for False Swipe & Spore as it can Poison/Burn the target. Use 2 pokémon instead: 1 with Sleep (Yawn, Hypnosis or Sleep Powder) & another with False Swipe.
Deoxys is one of the hardest pokémon to catch in the entire series of the games so it's best to use a prepared team for it. Leppa Berries/Leftovers & Trick are your best option.

Save your masterball for the roaming legendary dog you’ll save yourself a headache

6:59 skarmory was available in ruby/sapphire and emerald up in the ash where spinda was located...

Time to dig up my old FRLG strategy guide, for the ultimate nostalgic experience!  So stoked!

I really hope Home connectivity is two-way so that even if we can't trade online in the actual game we can trade online through Home.

I encountered that golbat evolution when I was a kid grinding in the victory road before the elite 4. I was convinced my game was bugged. I leveled it to 80 until I just gave up

Gonna do a shiny playthrough for the first time ever on this game. Can't wait to get stuck on Charmander for 2 months!

That Golbat thing drove me crazy in the GBA games i had to box it.

The Fix: The Nintendo Switch eShop version (2026) patches this error, allowing the beasts to remain in the roaming pool even after using Roar.

I hope they added a way to get to Birth Island and Navel Rock in the game. If not, then I hope they don't patch the Arbitration Execution Codes to do so.

Did I actually explore Sevii Islands?? Hell yeah! It was the coolest new content from a Pokemon game that I had already explored plenty from the original games. New islands never before seen was such a fun addition as a kid. One of my first “Staying up far later than I should to play video games”memories was from exploring these islands.

7:27 Even funnier is that that area has only bug pokemon. Get it? Cuz the gen 1 games were full of bugs 😂

I never actually played these games, i had Red, Blue,  Silver, Gold, Crystal, and then didnt play again until covid. Have played everything that has come out in 2020 and later. Excited to play these games 😊

My brother and our friends and i, all would grind all Pokémon to 100 using elite 4

I thought everyone knew about the item finder. Did not think it was unknown

I take joy that there will be a new gen of players experience frlg have end game content. Learning there were more islands was such a dope surprise

Umbreon is also one of my favorite Pokemon! Maybe we will eventually get the Hoenn games on Switch?

For some reason i have this memory where my Eevee evolved in LeafGreen into Espeon when i was exploring sevii islands, but everyone tolds me, it's false 😅
