LOVE that you’re doing older movies!

You just watched 12 of the best male actors (film and theater) of the 40's through the 60's.

Those towels were the best hand drying method ever invented. You pulled a fresh piece of towel down and the used length rolled up into a separate roll. Much better than the rubbish we have to put up with today. When it was used up the old roll was taken out and a freshly laundered one installed.

The men's room towels roll up to an empty roll. They're not being re-used

Another great single location movie is Alfred Hitchcock’s “Rope”; it’s from 1948 but in color :)

Bryce you have to check out Alfred Hitchcock's 'Rope' and 'Rear Window'. They're both so good and have those mystery unfolding elements to them

“You don’t really mean you’ll kill me, do you?” with the little smirk is so good!

To Kill a Mockingbird - great B&W film made from the famous novel we studied in highschool.

I’ve started participating in mock jury trials and honestly you’d be surprised how accurate this movie still is today. There were the guys who just wanted to leave, the guys who didn’t pay attention and just went along with whatever the majority said. In fact, in my most recent one I was the only one who took notes about the specifics of the law so we could be accurate😭 someone compared me to the main character of this movie and I was like “I’m taking that as a compliment!” lol

i love that the ending was them saying "well, so long!" and davis walking off. he showed up, understood the responsibility he had and took it seriously, and once it was done, he left. he put his all into something that didn't affect him because that's what he should have done, without pride or prejudice. it's logic you can apply to so many things in life! great movie and if you'd like to get into more classic films i would love to watch those reactions too!

That one juror was the voice of piglet btw

such a nice surprise, this is one of my favourite movies ever!!!!

The guy who grew up in the slums and showed them how to use the knife, that was Jack Klugman, he was in a few episodes of the tv show The Twilight Zone and movies and he starred in two tv series,
The Odd Couple,
Quincy , M.E.

I have always liked this movie.  Something about these old black an white movies feel timeless. Glad you are branching out into the classics. Some other old Hollywood classics you might like are Casablanca,  Sabrina, Breakfast at Tiffany's, and Some Like it Hot

truly one of the best movies ever made. this movie made me love films and filmmaking

So happy to see you checking out older classics !! Arsenic and Old Lace (1944) would be great for Halloween

Bryce, the towel "machine" in the resting room was the most environmentally friendly, most economical, and cleanest way to dry one's hands. The towel was made from pure, very tightly woven cotton and rolled into a large roll.
By pulling down the towel, you got access to the fresh, unused part of the towel, while the used, dirty part was pulled into the machine and rolled on a seperate roll. Once the fresh part was all used up, it was replaced with a freshly laundred new one.
The dirty roll was picked up and sent to a cleaning facility where it was washed under pressure with boiling water, then dried, ironed, and rolled into a snow-white, clean roll, ready reuse. Those towels were cleaned and reused for many, many years.
In my opinion, it was the most pleasant way to dry one's hands.
The mechanism was similar to a correction tape roller.
Great reaction.
Thank you.

Another great courtroom drama is Witness for the Prosecution (1957) with the great Charles Laughton, and a request at the end of the film not to “reveal the surprise ending.”

Rear Window!
