I Finally Beat Fallout New Vegas’ Prequel…

Fallout New California serves as a prologue of sorts to Fallout New Vegas, a game that I like more than myself. The mod adds new quests, characters, locations, and factions, completely reshaping the beginning of the game.

Being released in 2018, many players are likely already experienced with the mod in some way, but if you are like me and haven’t seen it or want to see my experience going in completely blind, get on your thigh highs and let's play Fallout New California.

Its actually criminal how good the vault section was and how much it drops the ball once you're out

This mod might not succeed in everything it tries, but you gotta give it credit for trying.

At least it's not The Frontier.

Father is just mistaking you for an offspring of the vault dweller, you can find a terminal entry that reveals that he's wrong and just coping.
Its weird this info is only in a terminal entry, I'm guessing its so players can choose their truth

People give new california a lot of shit but it's genuinely one of my favorite mods.

Jamie's voice actor nailed it.

This was honestly cool because the last time I saw somebody play this game I saw them play it from the perspective of the enclave because if you pick the path of the warrior you pick the path of the enclave agent

This mod was worth playing for the NCPR radio. Martin Purvis was great. Theres a lot abt this mod I really enjoyed even after the vault segment, it's a shame it never really got finished. Thematically the whole "it's about character" thing was interesting and I think if they were able to finish this project it could have been actually substantial

The only reason this mod is held back is because it tries to be a prequel. The missions are decent, the set pieces are nice, voice acting is meh, map is great. Wouldve worked as a dlc type mod like the frontier better.....and that is exactly how i play it with TTW.
F3,FNC,Alton,FNV and from there comes all DLCs, L15,Nova, The other legion mod im adding chicago soon etc.

FNC gave me the idea to go all out with TTW and make an ESO style experience in Falloutnv

As the scope of imagination expands towards the latter half of the mod, the quality begins to narrow dramatically in response. You can clearly tell where the effort and inspiration were in the first hour.

I beat it a few times, but it is way to hard. It punishes you for being evil, be bad you get like no companions. And no matter what you choose the end game is way to hard, you have to kill armys upon armys of mutants with barely any stim packs or ammo. I never beat it legitimate because its harder then dead money! I used Enclave commander and i summoned like a whole squad of tesla enclave troops, they all died no matter how many i got. I tried over 40, in the end none survived... They cannot even make it to the boss fight. If this is not unbalanced i do not know what is.
