Jim Hall was a dedicated car builder he needs to get credit he was a pioneer in builder and road racer.

Jim Hall’s car building abilities were incredible. He’s a legend !

Best racing ever Penske became an icon in racing with Mark Donahue.

Nice! Back when drivers could race anything with 4 wheels. Legends.

Wish this would come back! Do it during winter months when tourists are already there!💪🤷‍♂️

The 1966 Nassau Trophy Race was an early indication of Roger Penske's innovative flair for looking at the race regulations and to seek out what was NOT in the rule book.  Case in point:
The length of the race, at over 250 miles (402 km) required a pit stop as refueling was needed for the sports cars of that era.  But, there was nothing in the rules saying about a requirement to put fuel into the car.  In addition, there was no restriction for the fuel tank capacity size with the cars in the race.  So, the Penske team installed an oversized fuel bladder to go the distance without refueling.  That Lola T70, driven by Mark Donohue, made a pit stop with just a few laps left in the race, but it was a 'stop-and-go' without the need for the time-consuming refueling.  That brevity of a pit stop made the difference with Penske/Donohue being victorious.

The guy at 5:30 is in a dress shirt and normal pants.  Ha ha.   Jim Hall like some aww shucks guy from Midland, Texas.  Jim was a Cal Tech grad and back in the era as close to Adrian Newey as you could get.

These are pretty sweet, don't remember this series! Thanks for sharing

How great!
