Hi Krisna, it’s the same old problem. A lack of maintenance and upkeep scares tourists off. When guests stay away, investors are deterred from putting money into projects that don't turn a profit. Hotels stand empty, weathering and falling into disrepair. Instead of constantly pouring new money into such projects, we should focus much more on ecological restoration.
Sustainability and investment in a few waste-to-energy plants—along with proper waste collection—would benefit the sea, and a clean environment attracts tourists, too.  Right now, hardly anyone is visiting Bali for precisely these reasons. Images of trash-strewn beaches and streets are circulating worldwide; this scares everyone off, save for a few die-hard types in Canggu.

Ghost town :-) sad to see

Clear all away and bring back natural beauty

OMG😢😢😢

Tommy Suharto was certainly one of the 'developers' that poured money into that area without a sustainable, realistic business plan decades ago. It is probably the best example of nepotism + corruption + ineptitude = failure on the whole island. It's an absolute shame as that Dreamland area was beautiful before they developed it.
I suspect you know far more than we do about the real story, but thanks for the walking tour.

They closed the shortcut through the grounds.
It was a great shortcut

The beach looks lovely but the surrounding area has nothing to attract tourists...no shops, cafes, bars or restaurants.

Is this area the development of Tommy Suharto who built the ghost hotel in Bedugal , i think it is because he had   19 acres in that part of bali  ?, cheers Alister in Oz.

Been like that for years with all the failed and bankrupt billionaires never finishing the developments. Crazy how the government has allowed all that development further down in Uluwatu but they don’t fix this first

H Krisna, I could make a valid comment on this video but I will not because it appears to me that that recently you have not replied to your subscribers comments. Sorry to be so blatant.

That includes me too you haven’t make any of my comments for previous videos so why should I 👎
