It's eerie to hear Gene talk about relating to Michael Keaton's character with cancer in My Life and wondering what he would do in his situation, as, of course, Gene would find himself in that situation just a few years later.

Carlitos way is a mind blowing crime drama. Highly entertaining and recommended

Pacino and Penn's performances are both superb. Penn disappears into the role so well, quite a versatile actor

I used to enjoy listening to these two when I actually watched movies.

If you saw The Three Musketeers you probably saw that AMAZING Teaser Trailer for The Lion King!

The Simpsons took that exact scene where Michael Keaton is teaching his son how to shave, in the episode where Homer thought he was going to die in 24 hours. That’s where The Simpsons got that idea from.

Sad to read about Sara Wood's disappearance.

Carlito's Way is a very underrated film.  Great chemistry between Penn and Pacino - and great direction from De Palma.  It's just a shame that it bombed at the box office.

16:10 greatest acting of all time

I recall channel surfing when I was in my tweens and catching a film scene from a film about a trying to make the last few months of a dying person the best possible. Now I recall the scene being set in a more outdoor country setting but maybe it was actually the backyard of the house. I also remember it being about a dying child instead of an adult but maybe it was just me misremembering the to be born child in the film. I will say I remember there being discussion about a theme park and he does ride a roller coaster as a pivotal moment so maybe this was the film.

A rare commercials included post!

What blows my mind is how in 1993, fresh baked pizzas cost about the same today.

That Energizer ad is great.

Gene liked Three Musketeers, and disliked Carlito´s way? Hilarious!

My Life is a great, moving film, especially if you've dealt with cancer

Penelope Cruz!
EDIT: Javier Bardem!
I need to see this movie.

Some of Gene's elitist tendencies came out in this episode.  Thanks for this upload.

Sean Penn had one of the best coked-out performances that I've seen,  in Carlito's Way.   Other than that one, liked Liotta in GoodFellas, and Thomas Jane, John C. Reilly, and Mark Wahlberg in Boogie Nights.

LOL that commercial ;its a great day for a drive; and they end up buying a car

Didn't recognize Sean Penn?? Pretty unmistakable
