I Bought a New Kart and Switched Brands!

I wanted to buy a newer kart and picked this one up from my friend who was selling his soon after buying it. I've driven a Sodi Kart the 6 years I've been karting and decided to change things up and went with an OTK Lando Norris kart. This is my first drive in it and initial thoughts on it. I also show you and update on the new track construction at Dallas Karting Complex.

The track is very slick a lot of sliding around

Those Lando Norris Karts definitely look nice. Wonder if it will make you any faster 🤔😅

In the second session the front right wheel is moving, you can see it from the second you leave the pits.

My first kart was bad, but I learnt from it. 2nd one straight onto the podium first meeting with it. There be 60+ since then. Now I drive what I'm paid to drive that the team has. Racing this weekend, first 6 hour enduro (sprint kart chassis), I'll find out what it is at Practise on Saturday, race it Sunday. Following weekend in a different class, with a different team, will work it out Raceday when I meet the team, drivers and the kart. I'm quick at picking it all up, regardless of class, series or team. Generally learn a kart and new track within 5 laps now, but been playing this game a long time.

Been following your channel, especially because my son (12yo) drives a SODI Sigma RS kart. He also has an older Tonykart EVK. For practice, he actually alternates between both. His first comment was about the brakes on the Tonykart (which is the same as your LN). His comments pretty much are similar to yours. All the best with the LN, please throw a follow up with your preference. We are looking to replace the Tonykart with the new RS3 chassis which has been doing well in Europe.

My Father has a 1960 Simplex with a 5 HP West Bend Engine .. maybe I was 7-8 years old never drove it on a track .. Just in a Cul-de-sac ect.. It's loud seemed like a thrill to me ..
