Sharing my testemonial about "A clean kart is a fast kart". When I started karting, I was always lazy to clean the kart between races, because my thought was: "It isn't too bad" , or "it will get dirty again" . However, an experienced mechanic said something that stick to my mind: "Cleaning the kart is not only to get it clean, it is a mental process where you connect with the kart and all its parts, it is the best oportunity you have to see a losen bolt or a crack in some parts". I carry this with me and now, even if I'm super tired, I dedicate some time to clean the kart and make a detailed visual inspection.

I actually use pb blaster or wd40 on my axle to prevent rusting. Wd40 was actually designed to prevent corrosion and icing on stainless steel rockets. Also works great for trapped water in electrical connections and between your frame but those I'd spray a secondary cleaner to remove the wd40. as for the frame rails to ensure it stays good, though it does add a little weight, 3m makes a decent wax film for the inside of your frame to prevent rusting.

Its always worth loosening the stub axle bolts, spin them around to check if they are bent by looking if the stub moves around.

Holy smokes ! This video popped up randomly on my feed. Just for fun, I clicked on because I wanted to check out the garage. I had no idea it was THE Brad Phipot from Mixed Apex until I heard the voice.

The spacers wont stiffen the axel but it Will increase the heat, the Moore materiel in the hub the Moore grip, or the less materiel inside the hub the less grip, use plastic as spacers if u want that. A clean axel and hub is usually enough. Nice video🥰 #european, world, wsk, cotf OTK mechanic.
