7:11 I really don't get that part; when I play the barre at the ninth fret, my ring finger is too thick and ends up muting the string right below it. I've tried every possible way, and I believe simply pressing the ninth fret with my middle finger is the best option.

I've now watched both videos spanning mamy years. Very consistent teaching. Good work 👍🏻

❤Simon, u are such a great teacher!🎉
Now I realized how this piece should really be played. I need to update how I been playing it. Thank you.🙏

I have learnt and have more understanding of this piece of music after watching your video.   Will definitely look at the others too.  Half an hour well spent.  Thank you Simon.

This is an extremely good lesson, you covered items that take the piece from ordinary to extraordinary. Thank you

What a masterful instruction of this piece! Thank you so much!

very much enjoyed this lesson, thanks Simon!

Thanks for the inspiring lesson. It comes at a perfect time for me, so I am grateful for it to appear now.

Wonderful lesson Simon.  Thank you!

Wonderful. Thank you Simon.

Excellent approach to playing this piece.

Great lesson

Hi Simon, This is an excellent lesson on Lágrima. Truly, I have been playing this piece for decades - well before I watched your lesson 11 years ago. As you mention right at the start, this piece is one of the gems of the classical guitar repertoire. As a gem it has many facets  which can continually be polished and enjoyed from different angles. I love this piece and very often play it just for myself. Best wishes, Linda

Simon, you are the best in classical  music ❤

In just the first 20 seconds or so...   What I got <--> What I want. 🙁
I'll try again. Great video.

Thank you for making this video. I have always maintained that this is not a beginner piece, but rather a very advanced piece, and that is due to the fact that even when played by professional guitarists, this piece can sound flat and uninteresting, but on occasion you will hear a performance of this that elevates the piece to a whole different level where it sounds as if it isn't even the same song any longer. I like your idea for the interpretation\meaning. Mine is more literal, since Lagrima means Tear, I play it as if it is the sound of someone crying, but the type of emotion where they are crying with their whole body, sometimes crying, sometimes gasping.

That's a really helpful lesson, thank you.

Davvero interessante mi piacerebbe imparare anche altri brani classici come questo grazie infinite 🙏

This is the 1st piece i ever learned for classical guitar. There’s a 3rd section of this piece which is covered in Michel Beauchamps monumental undertaking entitled, “Francisco Tarrega:Complete Guitar Works.”

This is a wonderful, inspiring lesson. THANKS
