Ordered myself the two player starter box yesterday, really looking forward to receiving it and point the models up!

Another plus besides the free rules is that they announced there won't be any "new edition" type of thing coming out every few years, instead they're going to release new stuff in waves every few months and that they've got plans for AT LEAST 10 years from now on. They also said besides the promo miniatures coming out every year(that are mostly cosmetic and optional) everything will be available at all times, with no FOMO tricks and this is a HUGE plus for me.

Just ordered it, hope you make more content. I hope I find more players around Atlanta. Cheers from Georgia US

Wanted to ignore it, watched one video about it, bought the 2 player starter, built it, fell totally in love, bought the protoss starter too, built it and mow i'm in the process of painting the terran side of the boxes. Totaly amazing Minis, well thought out Starterboxes with amazing content, and i really like the rules, especially the armybuilding.... ❤

Great video!!!

This game is incredible!!! I finally finished building the Zerg and now working on Terran. I got the 3 player all in preorder and already ordered 2x of everything in wave 2!!!

Got over 20k points across 5 40k armies and I'm absolutely hooked with StarCraft TMG. 10/10 would absolutely recommend to any WH40K fan.

Archon have been very good with communication as well with frequent AMA, road maps for the next wave's  of whats going to be released and long term release and update plans for the game.

I bought in, it's such a good game. More StarCraft content please!

Good, competition makes better quality by both. Like the OG Starcraft lore and story.

Major Starcraft fan here. Here's what I know so far from nerding out over this game:

Firstly, in regards to air units, there's some unfortunate news: Archon won't be making models for capital ships since they're too large to be accurately portrayed and Archon doesn't want to shrink them down and make them appear lesser. This means no Battlecruisers, no Science Vessels, no Brood Lords, no Carriers, no Tempests, and no Void Rays.
This means that if part of why you're collecting an army is to display it, you'll have to model and 3d print your own big ships. Good luck.

Archon has confirmed that Wave 3 will be a caster wave. It will include the Ghost, the High Templar, and wierdly enough, the Defiler
(For non-Starcraft fans, the defiler is a late-game caster while the other two are midgame casters. Infestors or Brood Queens would've been a closer equivalent. It's an odd choice, but defilers are awesome, so who cares?)

Wave 4 will be an air wave. It will include the Banshee, the Scout, and the Mutalisk
(Since Archon won't be adding large ships to the game, the scout is Protoss's only air-to-ground option. Hopefully Archon buffs its ground attack. Lol)

There are other units confirmed by Archon to eventually release. I'll list them here:
- The Collosus. This one is pretty crazy. For those who aren't familiar with Starcraft, the collosus is like a War of the Worlds tripod, but on the scale of a 40k titan. It's so tall that it's vulnerable to anti-air ordinance even as a ground unit. I'm extremely curious how Archon will implement this model, especially seeing the love and care they put into the siege tank. It also soft-confirms the Thor and Ultralisk since Archon seems to be releasing an equivalent for each race.
- Arcturus Mengsk. It's both surprising and not surprising. Mengsk isn't a fighter, but he's a popular character--he's certainly my favorite character. We don't know what he'll do or anything like that, but if I end up building a Terran army, it'll definitely be a Dominion army. The fact that he'll be a hero though also means there's potential for other non-combatant heroes like Abathur or Raszagal.

Here's some speculation based on what we've seen:
- I've heard rumors that there will be a dedicated Brood War wave. (Although Archon will obviously still release Brood War units periodically, as evident by the goliath, defiler, and scout) This wave would likely contain the firebat and dragoon, but what zerg unit it could contain is a mystery.
- Corpser Roaches being in the game really opens pandora's box. This means we could possibly see campaign-specific units in the game, AND units that spawn other units are still on the table. This means not just potential for Swarm Hosts, but Creeper/Carrion Swarm Hosts. Also, Vultures could lay Spider Mines, which is enough to make any non-Terran Brood War player wince. Don't forget that it also means we might not just get access to the Ultralisk, but we might get to use the infamous, undying, and utterly terrifying Torrasque... or a stinky ultra...
- As for campaign specific units, for Terrans, we have: Spectres, Diamondbacks/Cobras, and the extremely overpowered Predator
- Protoss campaign units are bit trickier since most use the same or similar model. Most of them, if implemented, will likely be upgrades for units rather than standalone models, but there are standouts. The Tal'Darim Vanguard and Wrathwalker both have completely unique attacks that may necessitate a new model and Purifier Sentinels may need a new model since they are a mechanical version of a biological unit.
- These are really pushing the limit for size of an aerial model, but hopefully we get to see Arbiters and Ravens in the game. They'd probably both get released in the same wave alongside the Viper as an aerial caster wave. Or the Oracle would take the place of the Arbiter.
- Lastly, considering that the Adept shade and Siege Tank blast token are both in the game, hopefully Archon will also add the Disruptor. It's pretty cool looking after all.

I've been off Warhammer for years now. Personally I just dont find it fun anymore. I've played a few games of starcraft and I love it. Fun, fast paced, no digging through rules for half the game. I've also been a starcraft fan since the 90s so this is awesome for me.

Yep, got the 2 Player Starter and its the best Starter out of the 5 (AoS Dominion, W40k Leviathan, Warhammer Old World Starter and the Starcraft Starter) i've ever purchased. Plastic Terrain, the Cards and Tokens, the Quality of the Minis and the sheer Amount of Plastic in that Box is absurd. The Models are on par with GW and all rules and the army builder are available online for free and you dont even need an account, you can use the army builder as guest... I hope Archon has success with this so we get at least 10 years of content and enjoyment out of this. Btw, the roadmap states there will be a narrative campaign further down the road...

I pre ordered at the first possible moment and already got 30 or so games in and absolutely love it. Nice vid man, looking forward to see more.

Archon's StarCraft TMG is Cheaper, prettier, more complete (than 40K 11th edition, quicker to play with alternative activations and it's free to play if you want to.  This will destroy 40K and they know it because they keep having videos stating so.   They are obviously worried.  Plus, we also know that Archon have a road map for this game for the next ten years which will be different units and game play, not just like 40k which gives you knew marines and orks every edition. lol :P  BTW: narrative play and campaign play are coming to StarCraft.  My recommendation.... if a person wants to get into tabletop gaming.... buy this game.   Finally, this is a great video, thanks for doing it!  :)

Archon approached Blizzard about making the Starcraft miniatures game, not the other way around.  Blizzard helped to give feedback on it, but they weren't the ones who decided to make it.  Your theories about the reasons to make it might still hold true for Archon though.

The game is excellent 😊

Make sure you hype

I joined Warhammer 40k at the onset of 4th edition and retired from it during 7th edition. I actually joined it in the first place because it was “close enough” to Starcraft because there wasn’t actually a StarCraft Tabletop game. Now that there is, there isn’t a snowball’s chance in hell I’m crawling back to GW and their astronomical prices.

Just look at the Queen set. Huge model, great quality, only 35 dollars. GeeDubs would never.

"JOHN RAYNOR" "FOBOSS"

While i dont like the setting, i like what a potential peer vs peer competition could do to gw and their own pricing habits
