Originally this was a diss song to Big Daddy Kane, but they talked before he released it  and he took out a few lines that would have made it abundedly clear to whom it was about.

His last verse was absolutely ape$hish
Notice how he uses a variation of the word “radiate” on every verse

Rakim just kept this one smooth with the production and the lyrics, it's still one of my faves though. He still came with it...

This is one of my favorites as far as Rakim's flow.

I don't know if you can always determine how you feel about a song after one listen. For some songs you might like them better in certain settings. This Rakim song sounds like a good car song. It sounds like it would flow well while driving on a highway.

“Let it radiate vibes will vibrate why did you   violate now im a have to let my style break….smh..What those need to know. There was nothing like this before him he led he created an entire genre …the God….the 3 rail electrifying NYC underground…

You are right on it with your analysis of this one. The word you were looking for was depth in terms of lyrics....

I think personally these reactions especially by the younger generation,  is judged by a modern ear, and not what was going on at the time, and the vibe of the era.

Holy are you. Listen to that one.

He make his drum beats

GOD MC

Based on inflection, I think is the phrase you were looking for.

Just alright, what are you listening too, this is a masterpiece

Some songs are just about FLOW. This is one of them. beat is CRAZY and Rah is doin' Rah. This joint is a HOOD joint.

You should listen to a version showing the lyrics.

Anti-drug message

You need to watch the video it explains the song. He talking about being on stage and the crowd is his victims. No matter where you go you can’t away from the Rhythm . But he is the producer of the rhythms in different shapes and forms but the video shows him on stage . You have to watch that to get it . The song is CRAZY!
