Your system worked great.  Took all the birds out , rearranged the cage, and added some more nooks.  Put the young and old birds back in and only had a minor squabble.

Ha You confuzzled them right out of territorial issues.  That was fascinating.

Suggestion block off  your run or the sand box  so your not chasing birds...like how you give so much info

A chicken farmer I watch on youtube introduces and changes his flocks up at night while they are roosting. When the sun comes up they don't remember who was where the night before. Wonder if it would work for quail?

Great way to had new quails I have 4 in my avairy 3 females 1 male I want to add 2 of my hatches was worried if they fight but now I will try the you mix them in. Great video.

I clip the flight feathers on one side. No fly aways.
