Apparently they jump when spooked, they break necks on the cage top

Why dont you get a camera to record everything like a cctv

One of the reason you feel comfortable with 12 in your cage is because you feeders are inside taking up room for 2 to 4 birds. You can take the sq. ft. Of open space of you pens and multiply that sq. footage x 3 ft and you can house that many layers including males. My pens are 4.5 sq. ft. I have 12 jumbo hens and 3 jumbo matching males In each pen. They are not crowded and do just fine. Thanks for your video. There are several things we had to learn by experience.

Perfect tips!  Thanks for posting!

I'm surprised to hear you seen an axe murder scene

Great tips! Thanks!

I believe they were Rats. Get yourself a trail cam and you will know for sure.

Cage looks good man! I’m keeping 3 roosters and 15 hens in my cages I have not had that many issues with that amount only thing I’ve noticed is the hardware cloth on the floor needs re staples to tighten it back up other than that all good! Awesome video man!!
