Harold Jones | Fred Dinenage Murder Casebook

Underworld Uncut

52,996 views

Fred Dinenage examines the shocking case of Harold Jones, the Welsh teenager who became one of Britain's youngest convicted child killers. In 1921, the quiet mining town of Abertillery was rocked by the murders of eight-year-old Freda Burnell and 11-year-old Florence Little, crimes committed by the seemingly ordinary 15-year-old.

Too young to face the death penalty, Jones was detained at His Majesty's pleasure before being quietly released after 20 years. His case remains one of Britain's most disturbing child murder cases, raising haunting questions about juvenile killers and whether they can ever truly be rehabilitated.

When I was young my mum told me not to judge people by appearance

Violent criminals diagnosed as psychopaths should never be released. There is no chance rehabilitating them

I lived in a very small rural community. A college student was raped and murdered. Everyone said, "It can't be anyone from this town!" Of course, it WAS somebody from our town. I suspected as much.

Why the music - its annoying

@Edith-t4j 2 months ago

Too many talking expert heads, Fred's narration alone would've carried the series.

I understand the community and law enforcement not wanting to believe a child could kill. My six year nephew was murdered by his 10 year old brother and he has never and will never be arrested.
