Welcome back! As we dove head first into season 5, after completing the Texas Hill Country Bike Tour, we loaded the bikes and headed west to New Mexico.  It's always in search of warmer weather and new adventures!

Deep in the heart of the Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness, Buckskin Gulch stands as the longest and deepest slot canyon in the Southwestern United States. This slot canyon stretches for roughly 16 continuous miles, with towering Navajo sandstone walls that soar up to 100s of feet high while narrowing to just a few feet wide in some sections. As you navigate through its meandering corridors, you'll encounter 800-year-old petroglyphs depicting bighorn sheep left by early inhabitants. While the canyon offers unparalleled beauty, it is also one of the most dangerous hikes in America due to extreme flash flood risks so make sure you check the weather before heading out on this hike.
