This has been on my list for a while and I am beyond excited to finally hike Buckskin Gulch. Michael and I have been trying to get up here for a couple months but our schedules kept conflicting. So, instead of hiking the canyon without much water and completing the hike in 6 or 7 hours, we got to struggle through the miles of cold water and shadows. On this day the longest slot canyon in the world was an arduous journey to a dark parking lot 13 hours later. We fell multiple times and somehow avoided serious injury but Michael and are always in good spirits and remained optimistic. The only feeling of hope came when we would look up at the sliver of blue sky above us. The reflecting golden light off the Navajo sandstone comforted us in knowing we would see the sun again some day. Just not today.

Yes, there is a lot of water and some of that water is cold af even in the middle of July 🥶
