A trick I learned by the the luck of ignorance - I put my turkey in the oven and, after a few hours, realized that it was upside down / flipped it over for the last half of the cooking time and it was fabulous - this way both the top snd bottom of the turkey are browned and the juices that would’ve just sat in the bottom of the bird run back down into the meat making for a juicier result.

I will say she is not wrong about preparing and making dishes in advance. One year I made almost everything on Wednesday and come Thursday, we had the whole dinner ready by 12pm! At that point we all ate our thanksgiving meal for lunch and had seconds for dinner, it worked out great! The way Ree is doing it would save so much stress on the big day!

I wanna BE Ree, the amazing woman!!!!! Now that I'm almost 91, that's not gonna happen,
Truth is I've NEVER been a good cook much less one to produce a Thanksgivning Dinner even remotely like hers! My WONDERFUL husband loved whatever happened. That was enough for me for almost 50 yrs.!!!

O goodness, Ree! This has got to be the BEST most HELPFUL Thanksgiving Prep video EVER! I thought I was pretty organized with my day to day lists, but YOU have take it to a whole new level! At 73, my daughter now does most of the cooking but I'll be sharing this with her & even doing a lot of prep with her. Thank you so much! ❤️

I’d give almost anything to have that kitchen! It’s a challenge to do this in a small kitchen with one oven and a small fridge. A fun challenge 😊!

When my husband was living we went to yard sales every Saturday but he knew that I didn't want to go out until I looked at you and your family on the food network and he would watch it with me because he knew that afterwards I would stop at the grocery store and pick up ingredients to make one of your recipes if he was still living he would call out she's on 😢 Happy holidays to you and your family and to everyone that is looking at this channel ❤️❤️🙏🙏

Prep tip! Place Turkey breast side down when brining. You don't need the Turkey back, and the breast is up out of the brine.

My grandma makes Thanksgiving dinner, while us kids make appetizers and bring board games, UNO, playing cards, and dominos while dinner's getting done--this way, grandma can take a break and have some appetizers and play games with us, too. Last year, I made fried mushrooms with dipping sauce, and, my cousins made spicy snack wings and bacon wrapped shrimp in a brown sugar glaze.
