Fun shoot. I made my living with those big-ass cameras with big ass flashbulbs in the mid 1950s and early’60s. Need to dust it off!

That’s no woodpecker, you fool, that’s clear Wolverine’s been feasting in those woods.

Its a shame you didn't have a copy of Holden Caulfield red hunting cap, it would have made this video so special. Great work on the photos, very cool.

You said it "I am going to flash it so hard!  This snow is ganna melt from the flash"....   you  lost 4 negatives!!  😄..    Thank you for the great vid!  I enjoy the photos, nature, and the story.

I never knew that a forest could be such a crime scene! (The haunted part I knew about.) The signs are there, captured in your photos at great risk to yourself and your possessions (as you confirmed when parts started falling off your camera and your flash started malfunctioning). Hope to see more videos with more hikes and steam-of-consciousness, maybe next to a real stream?

I was hesitant with the flash, but I really enjoyed the photos, very unique!

great video, and love the 1950's police forensic photo look to the images :-))

Hilarious. Feel so much better. Thank you.

Man i want one but just finding one in decent condition is so tough.

Thanks for your video! Love it 😅

I can relate to your speed graphic rebuild. I bought a basket case 1949 speed graphic (over paid) that needed new slide rails front and back that were broken from closing the front without retracting the rails completely (common). The billows were split at the bottom seam. I used Permatex Ultra Black Gasket Maker and plan to use it on some of my other old holey billows cameras as it worked really well. The shutter hung up and did not cycle through the speeds so I took it apart ,cleaned it, lubed it, and re-tensioned it to factory specs (works great now). I added a Graflok back to replace the spring back and adapted a Polaroid 4X5 viewing hood so the image is no longer upside-down (still backwards side to side). The good thing is, I don't need a dark cloth over my head in the bright sunlight. I have a suggestion for the front of your camera that's missing the leather (if you care), use spray on textured truck bed liner. A can of it is about $25 at an auto parts store but it's still cheaper than going to a shoe repair, leather smith, or furniture/seat recovering place.

Nice Metz flash. Got a few of my own. And I have the same problem when in that orientation. Go figure.

Happy new year my friend, keep the videos coming please, always a joy to watch.

I love this video! I'd like to hear more about the film packs. Are you using original film packs from the '70s and before?

For your fill-in flash follow Peter Gowland and try 2-3 f stops down.  You do remember who he was?  King of west coast pin-ups , like Bunny Yager had the east coast.   But I did enjoy your video.  Ps: I've got 60+ years of shooting.

Great great vid Kip my man. I just came into temp possession of a Speed Graphic with a simple lens issue and trying to decide if I should keep it. Thanks 🙏 sir

Great camera i have one love it. Try fp4 film its wonderful.

Cool video, and some interesting results!
