Can never get enough of Larry Legend!!! One of the greatest players to ever play!

And he did it all without traveling or palming the ball.

The days of Magic vs Bird are simply legendary and probably saved the NBA at the time imo.

"this was before the 3 point line"
That line says it all.

I heard it best elsewhere, and it went something like this:

If you only have one shot to win the game you can give it to Steph or MJ, etc.  If you only have one shot to save your life you give it to Larry Bird

AS A INDIANA BOY. HE MADE US PROUD. THE BEST IVE EVER SEEN

What an excellent and entertaining video! I'm 57 years old. I'm a sixers fan. I live in South Jersey. Larry Bird ruined a lot of my Sundays, but today I think he's maybe one of the greatest professional athletes of them all. Definitely one of them may be the greatest

I am old enough to have seen the following basketball players in action. And I am thankful for that.
Bill Russell - Oscar Robertson - Jerry West - Wilt Chamberlain - Connie Hawkins - Pete Maravich - Julius Erving - Kareem Abdul-Jabbar - Magic Johnson - Larry Bird - Charles Barkley  - Hakeem Olajuwan -  Michael Jordan - Shaquille O'Neal - Kobe Bryant - Tim Duncan - Steph Curry -

Larry didn't talk trash. He just gave you facts.

He is a phenomenal player! He's one of the goats of the game! The KING of trash talking !

I was going to Central Michigan in 1979. My buddy said Indiana State was coming to play Central and we had to go. Indiana State was basically a two man team. They called it the Larry and Harry show. Larry broke the Rose Arena scoring record that night with 45 points. And they sat Larry down for the last 8 minutes.

Love the Bird stories, they are all the same but all great in a different way.

I don't have the words to describe Larry Bird, just he was THE MAN

Larry’s trash talking stories never get old! Larry is one one of the greats that’s for sure right up there with mj

The level of confidence and determination, that Larry had, was unreal and most people will never be able to conceive his talent.

I'm 62, Scottish/Irish, 3rd generation Los Angeles born.

I liked the Lakers and the Celtics back in the
80's.

Imagine my 😵‍💫ISSUES!

When I was eight, my father said "You're going to see the best basketball player in the world tonight".  Indiana State vs West Texas State, 1978.

I love the Nolan Richardson speech from Larry’s Hall of Fame induction. He just delivers it perfectly - one of the great storytellers of all time - good stuff!

Best complete basketball player to ever played the game...
