In October 1965, The Beatles walked into Abbey Road to begin recording Rubber Soul. Just over seven weeks later, the album was finished, mastered and in the shops.

The more I looked into how they pulled that off, the more unbelievable it became. They'd spent much of the year touring the world, were working to a brutal deadline, and somehow still managed to make one of the most influential albums ever recorded.

In this video I go through the Rubber Soul sessions day by day, looking at how the songs came together, what happened in the studio, the events outside Abbey Road that shaped the record and just how much they achieved in such a short space of time.

Whether you're a Beatles fan, a guitarist, or simply fascinated by the making of great records, I think you'll find this story every bit as remarkable as I did.
