Thanks Liam. You brought up something I often wonder about. I didn't play pre-Primaris era Space Marines, so I never used a Tastical Squad. However, I really like the simplicity of the First Born unit structure. You have Tactical Squad, or Devestator Squad for specialisation. And then veterans units. I really think that GW has made a mistake with how many different units there are in the Primaris range. And how they tried make every unit have heaps of options. And I wonder if they might merge some of them, both rules wise and the actually boxes of minatures. They already scrapped Intercessors having to choose between three types of bolters (it's fun, but really daungting as a new player. But appreciate still having the asthetic option for the build).
Examples of what might chagne in future: A new eradicators box that has heavy bolters, meltas, flamers and maybe plasma all in one. And maybe something similar with the specialised Tacticus armour units - to be like the old devestator squad.

Interesting stuff this, really good and well put together

I think the tournament meta is still interesting even if you've never set foot in one.

Doing it for themselves? 😀

Interesting to see Orks drop off, Figured they would dominate until the marines codex comes out. Also DAngels definitely going to be rising stock for a while especially after that reveal of The Lion today. All that being said it seems like the meta shakes out similar to AOS used to where its kind of a rotation of popular armies meaning most are in a good spot. Good show man.
