When that helmsman died at his post aboard the Sword of Baal, I got so many goosebumps that it was actually uncomfortable. There is a naval military tradition in my family (possibly going back to the War of 1812, but that is hard to verify), and the idea of a helmsman literally refusing to die until his vessel was safe gave me a serious frog in my throat. Everyone knows a captain goes down with his ship, but helmsmen are the same. In fact, I believe that it used to be an unwritten rule that the only person that a captain could not command to abandon ship was the helmsman... however, I think that fell out of common knowledge along with the age of sail. Anywho, I've thoroughly enjoyed this series! Thank you for making excellent content, and I am looking forward to whatever you create next.

“Yes little brother” is the best. I can no longer think of a dreadnought calling a normal space marine anything else.

Blood Angels in the Black Rage seeing the Tyranid Broodlord: "Nice set of extra arms you've got there Horus, that won't help you though!"
Tyranid Broodlord: "Confused screeching...."

“ what have you done “ which the screen shake and the most noble of the blood angels squad absolutely losing it at the sight of his fallen brothers that’s an amazing ending 💯

It is so poignant to realize that Ancaeus died believing that, in his final moments, he sley Horus and avenged his gene-sire.

Ancaeus was so focused on saving Kazarion from the curse after Rafael's death that he couldn't keep himself away from it, that and Kazarion's defeat and all the brothers he lost pushed him over the edge, the true burden of leadership for those of the 9th.

So damn cool seeing the black rage displayed on screen, gave me chills seeing the shadow of Horus flashing in and out

her dying on an imperial aquila is ironic

I love the glimpses of Horus when Ancaeus succumbs to the black rage. So huge and terrifying.

When I saw that first feather fall, I got goosebumps. When Ancaeus became Sanguinius personified, I had to stop watching and wipe tears away. Such a good scene, masterfully done.

Falling white feathers to depict the onset of the Black Rage... That scene was masterfully done.

Me: "My screen is frozen."

Tech Priest Support: "Have you tried using diplomacy?"

God damn, the "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE" will never fail to give me goosebumps, what a glorious scene.

LMAO "convincing the machine spirit through diplomacy"
Another great video breakdown brother.

"Comment for the Comment Gods"

So many cool details, the dread calling the Techmarine little brother, the Captains blood clotting almost instantly despite maybe being stabbed in one of his hearts, the techmarines feet being showed as he activates his mag boots

Regular dreadnought: "I am the emperor's mercy, We are rage!"

Chaos dreadnought: "AAAAaaaaAaaAaa Aaaaaa!!"

The dreadnought sounds like he's having the time of his life. He sounds like Father Anderson from Hellsing finally becoming an unthinking storm in service to the lord, smiting the sinners left and right.

It's pretty cool, especially the Dred. But bloody hell those bolters sound like cap guns, get the sound guys to listen to Astartes!

I love the detail of Ancaeus's armor turning black after after he succumbs to the black rage

Oh my God the final duel man when the Black Rage takes over, the visions of Horus, goosebumps
