The fact that we experience longing as humans is telling. Why do we feel homesick for something that nothing in our present experience can fully satisfy? Why are there moments of satisfaction which never last? This is the culmination of my series "Further Up, Further In." I look at how beauty and stories cause us to long for something beyond our present experience.

The argument I am making is that this is not for "another world" in the platonic sense, it is for this world renewed. Our journey is not escape, it is temporal renewal.

C.S Lewis's The Last Battle has served as one of the imaginative lenses for this series, and I return to it to conclude this series.
