Jack not getting the Porco Rosso tattoo is freaking killing me man. He's an anti-facist dude who happens to have been cursed into being an anthropomorphic pig, and "better to be a pig than a fascist" is basically his catchphrase.

The Porco Rosso tatoo wasn't too bad tbf

" Better a pig than a fascist" is a line from Porco Rosso, a Studio Ghibli film about a pilot that turned into a pig that fights fascists. This is actually a great tattoo!

Funny thing is, there's actually artificial skin that aspiring tattoo artists can practice tattooing on. I suppose it's cheaper to just do it on a person right away, but maybe splurging a bit would be the best option, so you're not immediately regretting your life choices.

The Robin Williams tattoo was actually really good. The bottom part was from Good Morning Vietnam when he yelled into the mic. The teeth were a bit wonky, but his teeth weren't exactly straight.

"That's not an ear, that's a tumor."
Now... Say that again with a certain ogre voiced by Mike Myers within listening distance.

Reason the tattoo at 7:00 took four sessions: the artist was drunk or secretly hated the client. I have multiple tattoos, all of which are larger, more detailed, and very well done. Each one only took one session

2:22 This is from a studio ghibli movie about a man who turned into a pig and is a pilot fighter for the allies in world war 2, Movie name: Porco Rosso

Porco Rosso is the titular protagonist of one of legendary animated filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki's films. The tattoo here reads one of his direct quotes, with his opposition to the Muselini regime being a major driving force of tension within the film.

The Sepiroth tattoo at 11:14 goes hard. Dont even think the face is that bad tbh.

I can understand home tattoos having awful linework. What I do not understand is that some of these paid tattoo parlors having bad line work on basic tattoos. I got a tattoo 30 years ago and they used carbon transfer. They used it to confim size/placement with the client and then  they simply tattooed over  the lines. Only the coloring was done free hand. There is no excuse nowadays for a tattoo parlor to do really bad linework - just trace a pattern! 🤦‍♂

As a Quebecer, and someone who prefers speaking English - Bill 96 is actually a big deal - simply because I and other English speaking people can't get any access in health care, government programs, or even basic help with utilities unless we speak French. My local hospital has no staff that speaks English. And I'm in an English town! It's horrible and scary. Also - we have Language Police. I kid you not. They will go around and fine Businesses if they have English print in their Store Name or whatever. Any print in English must be 2x smaller than French. It's insane here dude.

20:50 this is actually grammatically correct! "The dead don't talk"
This is a well-done tatoo. Uses the old german writing style that's, nowadays, sadly associated with neonazis though.

That's a Shrek ear.

The Porco Rosso one was literally part of the movie. That was the whole thing why Porco was wanted by the Italian government because he abandoned his country after a really bad loss during a war. He then had a curse put on him somehow that turned him into a pig. He literally says in the movie "better being a pig than a fascist" cause of his distaste for the government after what happened.

12:15 From strawberry pixie to Radish Gremlin.

Porco Rosso is my favourite Ghibli movie, I can't stand for this slander.

Let’s give some appreciation for the non-narrator members of the Emkay collective team! They do such a good job!

Ok so as someone with tattoos I need to talk about the Cowgirl.
On my leg I have a tattoo just about the same size as my calf. To get that finished it was 2 sessions. First line work, second the colouring, both about 4 hours each.
I can in no way believe that scuffed abomination took 4 sessions.
