And all of us say, "Bring back People Mover to Disneyland" lol

Thumbs up for the Mr DNA shirt as a tribute to Sam Neill

Your analysis of yourself, Disney Fans, and nostalgia is absolutely correct. Nostalgia is turning Disney "fans" toxic. If you don't like a change Disney has made AFTER it is done, and you have experienced it in person, that is one thing; having such strong, negative opinions about Disney changes BEFORE they happen is ridiculous. Thank you Fresh Baked!

I would like to see the "Tomorrowland that never was". A 1950's vibe with rings and ray guns, like the Jetsons!

I agree that Tomorrowland should lean into being more as it was. Bring back People Mover, go back to classic Rockets design so it matches the rest of the land, and maybe the only change is building a new dark ride where "America Sings" building is. Two of these ideas increase capacity (People Mover and New Dark Ride) and a redesign for the Rockets (and the load station for the people mover) would make Tomorrowland look classic and increase capacity without pissing people off with a whole change.

They need to make use of the buildings in Tomorrowland, also bring back the People Mover.

Disneyland doesn’t need a complete rebuild, but the empty Circle Vision Theatre, the empty, revolving theater once housing the Carousel of Progress and America Sings, the unused Starcade building, the underused space which is currently a pizza restaurant, the underutilized Tomorrowland Terrace stage, and the people mover station and track which needs to be somehow rehabbed and used for something, all scream for new attractions. Star Tours should probably also be replaced, since the ride system is outdated and you can find similar attractions in malls and Chuck E. Cheese restaurants, plus it’s confusing to have two Star Wars simulator rides in different lands within the same park.

They don’t need to knock it down and redesign the whole thing, they just need to fill in all the empty spaces which used to house attractions.

The sad thing about all the Disney Parks is that the Disney management has turned Walt's vision into an Amusement Park instead of a Theme Park. When you remove the Matterhorn and the Pirates of the Caribbean, there were no thrill rides in Walt's vision. He wanted something for everyone, and now it is moving more toward adults and not the children Walt originally built.

Disneyland and WDW does not need to compete against the other Amusement Parks. Disneyland and WDW is about the experience and not just about the rides.

Disneyland in California closed Space Mountain for a major, two-year rehabilitation on April 10, 2003, during which nearly all of the track and supports were replaced. The ride reopened with this new track on July 16, 2005, just in time for the park's 50th anniversary.

It's nice that Disney is overhauling their major rides. Crush's Coaster in Paris is going down for a 10 month refurb starting at the end of Sept. New track, new show elements. We just had our Big Thunder track done too. It's really positive to see Disney invest in these rides!

YES YES YES for an update to MK’s Space Mountain!

haha "rise of skywalkers" results. I fondly remembering my first rollercoaster ride that was space mountain. i fondly remember riding with my kids and running out with excitement. I will only be mad if they change the music and building facade. I give my blessing 🤪

I never made it to Disneyland before The People Mover closed in Tomorrowland. However I long for it and feel a sense of loss because I didn’t get to experience it or have it as a way to do a ride while resting my feet.

They have done much more on DL Space Mountain than just “good maintenance”. It was completely re-tracked in 2005!

@RadtasticMagic 2 months ago

With Disneyland's tomorrowland, I wish they could put the money into repalcing the peoplemover track (I know that's a huge task alone), tear down the launch bay and build a new attraction (maybe an original non IP), make the land ascetic vintage white and blue -similar to incredibles, leave everything else alone.

@JacksonBacon88 2 months ago

They need to take the current look as inspiration, and make a new one based on that lol. The issue is it has naturally become this look, when they should be building a new Tomorrowland based ON this look. It should be the same style but actually intentional, not time rotting

@bvh94117 2 months ago

They could increase capacity by fixing People Mover.

@Porkins74 2 months ago

Our Space Mountain was re-tracked back in 2005 because the original track became unsafe due to stress cracks on the track and supports. Florida's track is 50 years old now so that's probably part of the equation here. I'm sure the new track will mimic the old just like Disneyland's did.
