“These aren’t just any tapes, these tapes are special” -me speaking to my future child about my jam band tape collection

Mr. Pleasant: "You're a smart man."
Protagonist: "You underestimate my stupidity."

New life motto: no time to dwell on the horrors, I have tapes to burn

it's rare to hear real heroic protagonists in creepypasta

@lordchinchin8924 5 years ago

eyes, tapes, stories of paranormal activity, recordings... the author definately listened to the magnus archives

I’ve been loving this streak of longer stories dude, on top of your S+ tier narration

“Aurora borealis? At this time of year, in this part of the country, recorded fully in that video tape?”

“Yes”

“Can i watch it?”

“No...”

Man. That musical score at the end when he's burning the tapes is pure power. Sounds almost like it was specifically written for this story.
Bravo Lighthouse.

Good story, except I could make no sense of his father deciding not to destroy the tapes in the first place, then spreading them around, and then collecting them to destroy them.

33 minutes in and im just like "ah i've seen this gravity falls episode,"

Okay, this is totally based on The Magnus Archives- everything from the tapes to Mr. Pleasant being a spider person to something otherworldly feeding off fear, the SKY EYE- Its pretty much the same setup, but expedited for a creepy pasta format! I honestly love it, it's very neat!

Scariest part of this whole story is the fact he DIDNT START WITH TAPE #1!!! WTF who dips into the middle of the box and starts there?!? It’s absolute lunacy.

The almost unnoticeable distortion Mathew has at the end of his sentences is bloody awesome

Fascinating story and great narration!
Props to the very talented author - our fears don't deteriorate, they are always here, although we'd want to forget them desperately - but it never happens successfully.
I think, everybody who's experienced PTSD, anxiety and likely also depression, can relate so much to this.

Is it weird knowing that thousands of people fall asleep listening to your voice

The snow suit with lights coming out of it is the exact description of the movie poster from the John Carpenter body horror masterpiece "The Thing".

Oh my God. One of the best stories I've ever heard, and literally PERFECT narration. The different voices, tone and music choices, honestly breathtaking. Lighthouse Horror, you're just amazing, keep up the excellent work!

I see this is the universe where the Spider is the main Fear at play. Watching Elias and Mr. Pleasant go toe to toe with machinations would be a delight, even if Elias tends to leave the Mother of Lies alone.
