If Rebecca's mother was nearing 95, I guess Rebecca herself must have been quite old too, right? Kind of nice to get creepypastas with older protagonists & this one was excellently read. Thank you for this!

Can we all take a stop to apreciate how nice and friendly he is, to comment on nearly every single comment? Thank you, House.

Old people: exist
Eldritch goo: how many times must we teach you this lesson old man!

They should have climbed in the same car. Her car was closer. She kinda just took his phone and left him out there. Poor fella 😢😢

This is the second time I listened to this story. Still scares me. Definitely a very different kind of horror from the dark void.

I listened to this at 4am during a heavy rain storm and I highly recommend it, added to the ambiance of the "storm" in the story!

Cloudy with a chance of meatballs - horror version.

That was the saddest ending... Nobody coming to help, no solace in the idea that everything would be okay, just... The most horrible and painful end to it all...

That moment of pure unadulterated dreaded horror when you realize the only reason your mom's fine and everything's fine is because she hasn't had any reason to go outside yet

As soon as they mentioned a tooth, I remembered the rest of the story. I heard this a long time ago. I don't remember how long, but it's a very good story.

Rebeca seemed very (for lack of a better word) stupid! She didn't even look for food and water and tools to take with her.

I know this is a completely made up story but I’m an Ohio native and once I heard the narrator say “Ohio” I got intrigued. A few years ago at one of those truck stops with those bathrooms and vending machines over in NorthWest Ohio I was taking a piss and I overhear a few tidbits of these truckers conversation, “remember to watch out for the red rain on your final stretch okay?”. Now it may have been an inside joke between the two or just some crackhead talking nonsense but this story reminded me of this memory

This must be what happens when Yaldabaoth is finally released. And so begins the Second War of the Flesh, as SCP-610, the Flesh That Hates, consumes the world.

Rebecca :*freaking out about everything that's going on*

Eldredge God :👌🏿👌🏿 ( ´◡‿ゝ◡`)👌🏿👌🏿 plants growing nicely

Considering how helpful the old man had been the least she could've done was let him shelter in her car since it was closer. Instead she sent him to his death.

I've heard this once before, last year by another narrator. Couldn't remember the ending, yeesh. You have a smoother cadence over the narrator bits and snap into character in the dialogue. Pretty rare and nifty; it's what reading sounds like in your mind. I've never heard it spoken before. Dude. Hooked.

Genuinely amazing. The heartfelt emotions present in the interactions with her mother almost made me choke up.

Imagine the confusion and terror felt by those poor cows; just chewing cud & chillin in the field then splat!- How Now, Glued Cow?

Jeezy, oh, Pete's! I never expected to cry at the end when I started this one.

Macabre at best ... just sad ... Rebecca loved her mom .... won't forget this story for a long time
