This is the way basketball is meant to be played!!

This is why we tell you that the NBA doesn’t do defense anymore

Just be reminded that this is a guard and a small forward doing this! Watching them live was like watching sharks feed!

Jordan and Pippen Smooth on Offense and Vicious on Defense.

Pippen always had skills...  Jordan awakened the killer instinct in him.

29:03 happy to see that you understand why us oldheads claim that these two Demons on defense were the Best Duo Ever!! Great reaction Brother!!! 👍👍👍

Two of the most athletic guys ever to play the game on the same team.

Simply the GOAT and his best co- player

I miss MJ and his bulls!!!!!! Best team ever

90s Bulls definitely made defense beautiful...

200 steals + 100 plus blocks in a season…. MJ is the only guard in the history of the league to do that…& he’s done it more than once, while leading the league in scoring averaging over 30 ppg

Obviously, Michael was Michael, but Pippen’s court awareness, athletic ability and his over SEVEN FOOT WINGSPAN made him hell to play against.  He was a monster, then toss in ROdman in the second 3-peat and ROn Harper whop was slept on ALL the time, they had one of the greatest offenses AND defenses to play at the same time.

I was watching every game as it happened.

MJ and Pippen were an absolute menace on D!

The older players weren't plumbers, the Bulls just really were that good.

95-96 Bulls had arguably the greatest defense starting lineup in history with Harper, Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, & Longley. They were clamping everything moving.

The 90's was without a doubt the best era for sports. Especially the NBA. and they made NBA hall of famers look like clowns

Defense wins championships.

Pippen was that dude!

Pip was amazing.  still my fav player due to all the help he provided and defensive skills.

If you watch extended footage of younger Jordan playing defense like they showed in the beginning where he was literally all over the court doing everything himself, then you really pick up on how the rest of the team really adopted his mentality and how Pippen's tendencies and defensive style really becomes exactly like that. I'm gonna guess that game they showed of young Jordan was probably from 88, when he won DPOY. Scottie and Horace were both rookies that year coming off the bench.

And you see over time how the entire Bulls team begins to adopt that relentless hounding on defense. They're always putting pressure on the other team and Jordan and Pippen are flying all over the court. Jordan really instilled that defensive mentality in the team starting in 88 and as the other players grew alongside him the whole unit became much more devastating defensively as a whole. And during the second 3-peat they lost Horace but gained Ron Harper and Dennis Rodman 😂 two more incredibly athletic wing type players who went all out on defense
