Have you seen any other scams I didn’t go over in this video?

Nurse here: it is illegal for a hospital to deny treatment in the emergency room for lack of insurance or any other reason. Stay safe out here folks

my mom told my granny about the scam calls pretending to be grandkids in jail saying they need bail money. my granny said she wouldn’t fall for it cause she wouldn’t bail us out…  if we got in there ourselves we could get out 😭🤣

That couple rolling around the neighborhood is probably using a stolen car

Zac, it’s me, your papa. I need you to wire me two lava lamps.

I’m not giving my hard earned cash to people I know irl, let alone a stranger on the internets 😭

It's REAL SIMPLE, folks. Don't send money to ANYONE online! It's all lies!! ALL OF IT!

My husband got an email that our grandson was in jail and needed bail money. Our grandson was four years old at the time. 😂

If you EVER get a call from your bank, say “I need to hang up and call you guys back.”
If it actually is your bank? They will be HAPPY to accommodate that. If it’s a scammer? They will do whatever it takes to keep you on the line

Any text that gives you a time limit to do something is always a scam.

My mother-in-law got one of those "Grandma!, I've been in an accident!" scam calls. She said, "Well, you need to call the police" and hung up.

Same with my phone...never answering anymore. Literally everything is a scam. If you're not my family or good friend, send me a pigeon...

I am an author and get countless calls and emails from people claiming they represent mainstream publishers and they are interested in one book or other.  My favorite is when the caller or emailer claims to want to market my book to a film company.  The book they want to make into the movie about is a dessert recipe book

I can’t believe these people who think that celebrities need their money

People are so gullible

The tow truck scam was probably using a stolen car. Why else would they let their car get wrecked for $20?

I think shaming these people is actually detrimental to this whole issue. It will discourage people to reach out when they have doubts or realised they got scammed in fear of being ridiculed or worse, being victim blamed for their gullibility.
Please people have some compassion and understanding. These people are often in emotional distress, vulnerable or just very lonely.

I told my husband the other day that I might miss out on something one day because I do not believe anybody. I block and report EVERYTHING  as spam.

My brother works Fraud for one of the big banks. EVERY DAY he tells me how people are being conned out of $10k, $15k, $50k. It's so sad.

I bought a gift certificate for a tattoo artist that owed a very successful shop in downtown Portland. I had been following this artist for years, and knew he was amazing. He ran a promo for “all you can sit” for $500, which I knew the piece that I wanted would normally cost well over $500. I sent him my design, he agreed to do it for $500 if I purchased a gift certificate during this promo period. I paid him, we scheduled a date, and when I showed up to my appointment, there was an eviction notice on the door, the shop was completely empty, and his social media was deleted. I later discovered he ran this scam on over a hundred people before packin up and hitting the road.

People who weren't around for the Nigerian prince emails missed out on a good life lesson lol
