This was April 27, 1994. I can not believe this footage exists. This was the grand re-opening of the Fillmore. The headliner was a secret until they went onstage. Most of us were thinking (praying) Metallica was going to be there, but we were give Country Jo McDonald, Linda Perry, Joe Satriani, and the headliner was the Smashing Pumpkins. They only sold 1,300 tickets to the public and I was f-ing luck to have gotten them. What a night. Watching the Pumpkins footage, I thought, or at least remembered them being way better, but that's how memory works. I still have my Fillmore poster, stage used guitar pick and ticket framed together. Thank you for posting this. Blast from the past.

I don't know or care what Jimmy Chamberlain was on. All I know is that he is one of the greatest drummer's to walk this earth.

Wow Corgan just ripping the shit out of that Strat. Such an underrated player.

My favorite moment is when they play the banger after the banger that precedes it and before the banger that follows it

I truly don’t think Smashing Pumpkins get the respect they deserve. What a great sound they created. And Corgan is a great guitarist.

I had the luck of seeing them in 96 in Montana. It was amazing. I only wish I had berr seats at the time since at this point they were playing stadiums.
