I had one back in high school and I saved two years of part time work and odd jobs to buy it. I rode it for two years until I left for the service. I wish I still had her.

Hey Noel I used to own that for a few years it was in my garage I never got to the project sadly, so I gave it to someone that would get it running again. I got given to me by my step dad he had parked it running in his storage unit in the 80s and never rode it again.

I have one also.  Been sitting outside for the last 10 years under a tarp.    Took it out yesterday.   The carb needs to be rebuilt and I need a ignition coil.  The wire came apart in my hands .    It definitely would of started though.   Awesome bike.     Just sucks I don’t have the title for it :(

Thanks for the memory, those xl bikes were god ones, I had a 73 xl 175 and a 74 xl 250....BTW, putting a smaller counter sprocket (front) on it gears it down and makes it a much better trail bike.
