🥔 I Grew Potatoes With Only 4.5 Hours of Sun — How Many Pounds Did I Harvest?

This year, I decided to see how many potatoes I could grow in my New Jersey Zone 6b garden, even though this part of my garden receives only about 4.5 to 6 hours of direct sunlight each day.

I planted four different potato varieties, and now it’s finally time to see how they performed.

In this video, I’m harvesting the potatoes, showing you what I find, and comparing the results from each variety. I’ll weigh each harvest to find out which variety produced the largest overall yield.

Was limited sunlight a problem? Did one variety clearly outperform the others? And just how many pounds of potatoes can you actually grow with only a few hours of direct sun?

I'm not a gardening expert—I'm simply documenting what I'm growing, what works, what doesn't, and what I learn along the way.

Welcome to Grow Lab Diaries, where I grow, explore, learn, and repeat. 🌱
