Mike is now the safest person in Stranger things, both his gf and bf got powers.

I like the fact that the bullies call Dustin and Eddie a freak while having literally killed a pet snake and used it’s blood as paint

I know we waited literal years between seasons but having to wait a month between volumes somehow feels equally bad lol.

There's a scene in their classroom, and the whiteboard says that the homework is to read a Wrinkle in Time, chapter 3. This particular chapter might be important.

Steve driving through the backyards was a nice little nod to Ferris Bueller's Day Off as well

Dustin is wearing rings like Eddie did. A little detail I noticed. It seems like Dustin is honoring Eddie by wearing clothes similar to what Eddie wore. I really hope that none of the main characters die

20:27 If you look in the background of the scene where Henry/Mr. Whatsit is stalking, Derek, you can see “a wrinkle in time” is written on the board in chalk, so the students were probably given the book to read as an assignment.

Holly's outfit clearly mirrors the D&D figurine

They are literally talking about A Wrinkle in Time in class at one point, so pretty sure it's the current assigned reading

5:39 I think the warmth from the pee is what it's reacting to, it's later confirmed Dr. Kay keeps the piece of the upside down flesh under heat lamps bc they don't like heat

I got more "Wizard of Oz" vibes from the dress. And when Max showed up, I thought 'Scarecrow'

In the song Fernando by abba (karen's song) there is this line:
"If I had to do the same again
I would, my friend, Fernando
Yes, if I had to do the same again
I would, my friend, Fernando"

Another time travel connection

41:22 I think everyone here is seeing what Vecna looks like for the first time. Up until this point, they’ve never seen him in the flesh and only had an awareness that he exists. The only people who know what he looks like is Robin, Steve, Nancy, Max, and Eleven. Right?

20:16-20:36 When the scene opens in the classroom where Henry looms behind Derek with the tesseract, as the camera moves closer to Derek, we see the wall in front of of Derek with a huge display that shows the class is reading A Wrinkle in Time. That’s how Henry is able to use the Mr. Whatsit alias with all the kids in the class. They have all been introduced to the story. The blackboard in the front says that their homework is to read chapter 3.

Now I’m thinking Will yells ‘Run!’ like that because Vecna is controlling him, and Will can no longer stop himself from being controlled. So he’s telling the others to run away from him.
