Paul is aging into a handsome distinguished djentleman

for a band that makes music as crazy as they do, this is the most organized/respectful tour bus I've ever seen

Probably the most organised tour fridge I've ever seen

'la cro-nine' is a very clever joke
well done paul

Paul's sense of humor is entertaining af.

this band changed my life and perception of music

One of the most important bands to ever exist

Back in the 90’s that water bottle would’ve been a bong 😂

Well i may be the old cratchity dude commenting but i did not start playing drums until '97 when i was 40. I had played guitar off and on since i was a kid but never got serious until 1982 because i wanted to write better and be able to "communicate" better with another guitar player. Now i can say i was known for harmonica and vocals(my music friends called me Parrot because i could immitate alot of different styles). I had toured the country back in the early 80s and had been on the Southern Comfort, and Monsters of Rock tours and met a bunch of really great musicians. Well anyway, i was active in music for a long time and bought my boy a set of inexpensive drums but got addicted to them myself. With Mike Portnoy and Danny Carey as inspiration i dove in the deep end and learned how to swim. Then yesrs later my son turned me onto BTBM and i think it was one of the greatest gifts i have ever recieved. Blake is just beyond description but the entirety of the compositions was to me a throwback to ELP, Yes, King Crimson, Mahavishnu Orchestra, and a few lessor know but highly sophisticated compositions. Now i am not so much of fan of the gutteral vocals but i can get pass that because the offerings are some of the best pure music out there. Lol i know alot of younger drummers that would show up at my farm studio, listen as my mates would play and get mad, some visibly because i am playing Tool, BTBM, Snarky Puppy(Larnel Lewis) and i guess in their minds i was way to old and should not be playing such intense and physically demanding pieces. But man, when the music is that great, so well concieved and performed you can't help but love it. So with Blakes offerings i pursued them like a starving wolf after the lamb. I just think they are great and in my 55 plus years of concerts and playing i have never had so much fun trying to follow those songs that make my heart pound. Lol it took 7 or 8 years just to learn to play "Extremophile Elite" abd though in the beginning i would screw up... alot... i found it to be like medicine. In fact just the physicallity has been a real benefit to my health and mental calmness(just to tired to be mad at someone or something🤣). Nowadays i have mobility trouble but i can still sit at the skins and get the best workout. I did see the in Louisville Ky a couole years ago(i think) and hope i get to see them again before i am gone. One of the best orchestras ever!!!💖
