Prince just waiting in the shadows like a cheat code waiting to be unlocked.

To this day, NOBODY KNOWS where the guitar went. ;)

Prince, the most badass legend in The world

I miss Prince so much 💜

This was a tribute to George Harrison of the Beatles who wrote the song. His son Danni is the young guy laughing when Prince leans back, The two main singers are Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne (huge stars in their own right as was Prince) formed a supergroup with George Harrison, Roy Orbison and Bob Dylan called Travelling Willburys,

Prince did the most Prince thing to tribute George and I love it. It’s ostentatious for anybody else, but for Prince showing that love meant he had the most respect, and his son recognized it.

You are in the presence of greatness!! 💜

I have never been clear whether Prince took license with such a legendary Beatles track in a George Harrison tribute performed by so many legendary guitarists. The way he kept playfully looking back at Dhani makes me think he did it to make Dhani super prideful of his father. Prince took the song somewhere many who grew up with the guitar riffs only imagined. I don't think the other guitarists were in on it. Maybe Dhani was as his smile at what was happening was precious or maybe he just realized his father's work just had a legendary rendition.

💜

Welcome 2 our music, U have 40 albums 2 choose from. Peace & B Wild 😉

The blond singer on lead vocals is Tom Petty (Bluesbreakers, Traveling Wilburys); the other vocalist—wearing glasses and singing the falsetto—is Jeff Lynne (ELO, Traveling Wilburys); on the Hammond organ is Steve Winwood (a legend: Spencer Davis Group, Traffic, and Blind Faith); on drums is Steve Ferrone—another legend who has played with *everyone*; behind Petty is Dhani Harrison, son of the Beatle George, who was being honored that night; the first guitar solo is by Marc Mann, guitarist for ELO (Electric Light Orchestra); and then, to the right of the camera, the immense Prince—truly one of a kind.

It saddens me that the younger generations don't know Beatles songs. This was a tribute to George Harrison from the Beatles. His son is next to Tom Petty, the guy with blonde hair.

The Beatles are so big, how can you not know them?

You have a lot of studying to do.  And, that’s not an insult, it’s encouragement

What a boss!  You have nooo idea.

This was the closing song for the night at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony class that included Prince himself and George Harrison from Beatles. Rolling Stone magazine recently had a list of top 100 guitarists of all time. Prince wasn't on the list. No one on stage knew Prince could play like that and had no idea this was coming. (Even tho Prince was an actual musical SAVANT and had mastered about 30 instruments) Immediately after this, they revised the list and had Prince something like top 5 or top 10.

Absolute perfection! Brings tears to my eyes

Not much before this Prince was left off Rolling Stones list of 100 greatest guitarists ever.  Many guitar legends spoke out that it was crazy to leave him off.  Prince just decided to show them, and the world, what a mistake that was.

ABSOLUTELY THE GREATS
