Renegade here, super excited for your Ren journey. Girl I teared up watching your reaction because there was so much emotion in your eyes, I can tell you’re a deep, beautiful human. I cannot wait to see you guys react to more of his music. 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
Ren Gill is from Wales where he spent most of his childhood. A currently lives in Brighton England. He was bitten by a tick and got Lyme disease it went undiagnosed or years. Doctors were treating him for every other thing but the root problem. Which added to is overall health problems. After years of mistreatment he found a doctor in Brussels that correctly diagnosed him. He spent a year in Canada receiving treatment that helped him quite a bit. Sad to say but he currently has had a relapse and is pretty much bed bound. He stated today in one of his post that he had a new album that he was working on and that has been put on hold but he plans on dropping the songs that he has done one starting next week.
Ren doesn’t have a genre. He can rap. He can do blues (The Big Push). His collabs with Chinchilla, Sam Tompkins and LIV Sangster are breath taking. You will never listen to someone like REN. You never have and you will never will. The Tale of Jenny and Screech will floor you. You need the 14 minute version with Violets tale. And, no subtitles. His story telling is second to none. His Lyme disease has left him bedridden again. The Money Game trilogy will also blow your mind. The Renegades will assemble for RENactions all day. This man is loved. While you just met him, give yourselves a chance to fall in love also.
Ren does it all. He is a musical genius and a lyrical genius. He sings, raps, acts, produces most all of his own beats,he directs, edits and mixes his own! He is a master storyteller, a Shakespearian Bard of our time! He does all genres...rock, blues, soul, raggae, HipHop etc ! His catalog of videos is huge! He also played in his band called "The Big Push" (who are awesome) ! He plays classical guitar and electric guitar and bass guitar and piano and drums etc
Ren is a once in a generation talent. He'll give anything a lash and he makes most of it work. He is an example of how we should treat each other and his work gives people opportunity to talk about issues they may be struggling with, in relatively safe spaces. We are from the same place (North Wales) attended the same school (All be it 30 years after me) and we are enormously proud of this lad.
Ren has Lyme disease and was misdiagnosed for years he is in Canada seeking treatment but not doing so well we can only hope that the doctors can turn it around artist like Ren come around once in a generation
He was mis diagnosed for years and given meds that cause Sycosis, 10 years later he was diagnose with Lyme disease. he's from Wales and lives in Brighton, UK
Do not apologize or feel bad for being emotional because of Ren. WE'VE ALL BEEN THERE. ALL OF US. EVERY SINGLE RENegade. That's why Ren matters so very much to us. I still cry a little every time he stands up. And I've seen literally hundreds of reactions to this masterpiece. You're among friends, family, you're one of us and whether you know it or not, we love you.
This is the internal struggle we all have between our confident self and our doubtful self, between the dark and the light, between our good and our evil side, of course some have more extreme sides than others but we all have this internal conversation at some level
Ren is Welsh (by your standards very close to Manchester) though he currently lives on the South Coast of England in Brighton. He was bitten by a tick and contracted Lyme disease which went undiagnosed for many years leading to the most horrendous health struggles with autoimmunity and psychosis. Ren uses this as a source for some of his music but he is so much more talented in so many ways. He is a brilliant singer, he can rap, he plays multiple instruments (self taught), he can act, he writes lyrics, he composes and he directs and produces his own music. He is a true modern day bard. I would strongly recommend you listen to The Tale Of Jenny And Screech (the one with three tales: Jenny's, Screech's and Violet's), The Money Game trilogy then for some lighter relief Back On 74/Message In A Bottle and Bittersweet Symphony. All his music is mind-blowingly good and the Renegades will view in their droves everything you react to. Ren is a pure delight of a human being - we should all consider ourselves so blessed.
Oh Wow! You are in for SUCH a treat with the variety and genius of the storytelling and musicianship that falling down the Ren rabbit hole will bring you. Can't wait to hear more.
You guys have just entered the world of Ren. He is a one of a kind artist with a very high degree of talent in so many aspects. Welcome to the Ren rabbithole! If you google Lyme disease, rare cases end up developing pychosis. He went undiagnosed so long, the disease is in his system permanently. He was able to get some stem cell treatment in Canada, not to long ago. Right now he has had a relapse, so please send thoughts and prayers his way. His words and music are amazing, and combined with his performance skills makes for a special experience both listening and watching videos. We Renegades love to see newbies react to The Tale of Jenny and Screech, 13 min version. It is a tale of tragedy about two young people living on the streets. I guess they call it bard style, he's like a modern travelling minstrel.
