I feel like the Clanner ghosts accepted her exactly BECAUSE she wasn't taking any of their shit.

“Shut up star commander, we don’t have time for that right now”
🤣🤣🤣

I love the idea of Clanner ghosts accepting being bondsmen of a lunitic tank commander.

As a Dutchman and a crunchy myself, I can confirm,
All our cars, tanks and Yes even our bicycles talk to us when we least want to

I used to drive tanks when I was in the army, so hearing a story about a tank called The Rolling Dutchman was so great. Love your Battletech videos

I like how the Clanner Ghosts panic when the Mercenary Firestarter sets fire to the field, seeing as how they perished from an Incendiary device that bounced into their Tank.

The funny thing about the Dutchman is that if its ghost claners they probably would act like that do to them seeing it as bing a bondsmen

I loved the story of Hikagemono, a story about love, of enduring, of showing the world that what people ( or in this case, a mech) needs to show just how truly special they are, is to find the right person to be cared for and care for them back.

I’m actually a bit teary knowing both the pilot and the mech survived.

That Battlemaster sounds like that one Love Death and Robots story about the cursed dropship.

@inquisitorgarza312 11 months ago

The last story seems like the commander is just suffering a multiple personality disorder which makes her into a great tank commander, but it is extremely funny to imagine that she survives every engagement because of the Clanner crew being better than the living crew.

a haunted TANK? FUCK YEAH, SIGN ME UP

@masterzoroark6664 11 months ago

The image of that Clan mech being dragged into the sandstorm "You're going to BRAZIL" style is now in my head

@johnconway5328 11 months ago

Omg..Battletech did a haunted tank? I wonder if the star captain had the Stuart bloodname?

@IAmTheAce5 11 months ago

The animism of Love Death and Robots "Lucky 13" is also my jam

@braddl9442 11 months ago

If you ever have seen the USA or UK shows GHOSTS, imagine your tank is like that but full of clanner tank crew

@voidphilosopher42 11 months ago

The clan tank ghosts make a lot of sense. I mean they were braised to death, not boiled to death, meaning they couldn't return to the primordial soup stock.

@Izolus 11 months ago

The Rolling Dutchman story is so goofy and I love it and it's completely canon to me

@abrakahocus 11 months ago

At least the Clanner Ghosts were being mostly helpful with their advice 😉

When working on the back story of my mercenary company, I made sure that the pilots had certain rituals, a former Kuritan pilot would have a small statue of the Buddha in his cockpit, one steiner pilot always had a stein of beer before missions, and one of my clanner mech pilots would look at the small copper plaque in his cockpit which had the rememberance enscribed on it.

Battlemaster story is basically a 40k knight, old cranky machine develops a personality (machine spirit), and only lets the worthy pilot it. given Neural Helmets exist as the primary form of mech interface and control, it wouldn't surprise me if there was some amount of imprinting present on the machines over time.

also reminds me of the Crimson Fist Land Raider that decided to wage it's own war on Rynn's World without crew during the invasion.
