I am not big into mechanical work. In fact I am a physician/surgeon so I also “repair” non functioning parts, but with very different tools. I recently purchased some land that came with a tractor and riding mower. Both needed work and maintenance and your videos have been extremely helpful. You are an excellent teacher. Simple and precise information, just like science should be. Many others have videos, but they seem more interested in listening to themselves talk than to explain things in a manner that helps layman on the field understand. Thank you sir for posting those videos. I will continue to learn from you.

I own a one man small engine shop in Vermont and even though I've done this a long time i still check you tube quick before i start on stuff like this belt just to make sure i remember how to do it. Great job telling everyone what tools to use and showing them step by step how to do it.

I did that to my cub cadet what a pain the butt it was . I don't have a lawnmower lift so had to use car ramps and reverse them so i could lift the lawnmower up on the ramps . And the concrete blocks to keep it safe . I was 70 years old when i did that   and hope the belts last this time  . I have heard of belt conditioner and do they work . I watch your videos all the time  so figured you could answer that the best I am 72 now

The Allen wrench that fits into the top of the belt keeper bolt that screws into the top of the transmission is a #6 (see video reference to that at the 9:00 mark and again at 10:07).

Awesome video.  I’m tackling transmission belt/pulley and the steering assembly. I’m glad you made a video for both. How do we repair those wheels that are wobbly. I have the older wheels with the grease fitting. What needs to be replaced? Have you done a video on this? Thanks for your help.

I can’t get my clutch off, the entire shaft is spinning when I try to loosen the bolt.  I honestly think this is the first time this mower has been maintained. The previous owner left it when we bought the house.  I have had to rebuild just about every part of this mower.  Hopefully this is the final part I have to replace for a while.
