Very good presentation of how 2 disassemble and fix that leaky gasket on the transmission. Helped tremendously on how 2 do mine and mine had the same problem. Thanks 2 my neighbor, Chuck who dissambled and found the problem. Going 2 get the parts 2 fix and my neighbor saved me a ton of money so I didn't have 2 take it 2 a jd dealer 4 repair. Thanks again!

Thank you for posting the video. We replaced the plug in our leaking J D x530 yesterday. We also replaced the O rings on the reservoir. Fresh oil and now I’m ready for summer grass cutting.

Thanks  for your. great videos .  I have a 2016 X584  bought new with almost 500 trouble free hours of use   I just  love the tractor .  I just  noticed  last year  my trans fluid tank was  down about a half pint of oil.   It has never been down before and I have no leaks that I can see .   I topped it off and I noticed it still  is going down with use .  Not much  but I made a mental note to add that to my winter to do list . I am pretty sure mine has a bad plug as well .  I was hoping  after watching both videos that you would have shared the John Deere part number for the replacement updated plug .    I also really appreciate your  fender panel removal  part of the video .  I have never had my panel off  and when I need to replace my main drive belt again I am going to remove that panel to get that end of the drive belt and spring installed .  The 4 wheel steering X584 is just horrible to get to that part of the tractor to route the belt and stretch the tension spring .   Thanks again and have a great 2026.   Les jones    Star Idaho

The nut on the top of that transaxle input pulley that is a part of the pulley itself and is responsible for the physical connection to the transaxle cooling fan should not be the same shape as a standard nut. I wonder if John Deere manufactures that pulley or is it also outsourced? My guess is the pulley is a John Deere produced component. Thank you for letting me know the transaxle itself is manufactured by TUFF-TORQUE corporation. A Youtube video on how you added flush mounting rear tail lights would be a nice video.
