7 times, pulling 40lb - was shaking on 5th, 6th and seventh, but dug in - will keep practicing until i can do 10, to be more prepared for next indoor season in UK.

This test is of course for archer in respect to the current limb weight. If an archer wants to go up in limb weight, he/she should get the bigger weight and do this capacity test again. You'll realize quickly if you can get 7-8 reps on the larger weight without wimpering or shaking.

managed 9 times at 40# draw weight, I thought i was overbowed as my gillo C77 limbs feel so much heavier than my uukaas, but i guess not!

Thanks for the vid. It helps with setting some clearance about draw weight expectations for sure.
I usually repeat that training multiple times a day.
Would you have any tips to be able to increase the number of reps you can do ?
I'm currently doing 5 reps at a 46-47 bow draw weight.

3 times before I totally collapsed on the 4th 🥴 got a lot of bow training to do it seems

9 at 42lb limbs at end practice session. Happy days

the first year we learn the technical basis to have a repetitive and precise gesture, so, the tradition and practice is to use weak club recurves (i started at 52, with 20# limbs)
then, most people who want to improve their practice buy a reurve pack, but there is no serious strength and size knowledge

your test seems very serious because it alternates shooting time, recovery time in a repetitive manner

i personnaly went to a fitness hall and asked to install a 90° pulley at shoulder height, then climb up by 0.5 pound : 4 seconds three times, and the value was 26#.

Now it's my third season, barebow in size 70 and my comfort power is 32#@30",  but it is not thanks to my club that I learned these parameters,
it is not normal

Made 8 on my 38lb recurve. Thought I may have over bowed after returning to the sport after a decade or so away, but maybe not!

I like this system , I always wander if my draw strength  was declining or improving especially at high poundage. very good

5 times, 4th and 5th had a bit of shaking. I feel pretty comfortable with my bow but i can definately see how getting to 7 or 8 would really help.

I was wondering whether there might be a test relevant to showing the same thing about compound bow, so as to have a clue of an archer's strength and possible ways to increase it without messing with posture or technique issues?

My only question about the efficacy of this test is that it seems to access endurance strength for shots in relatively quick succession rather than repeated bouts of strength where ample rest time (the time between tournament shots) is figured in. Does that endurance strength with two seconds rest predict an archer’s stamina at a given draw weight by the end of a tournament better than a test that would figure in more realistic rest time? That is not at all sure.
