bandoned by their cowardly lord, the people of Dunkelwald’s End are left alone when a ravenous horde of horned monsters descends from the forest. Their only commander is Sir Othmar Rauk, a disgraced old knight whose failing body can no longer lift his sword. With no army coming to save them, farmers, butchers, brewers and blacksmiths turn their village into a maze of pits, flames and sharpened farm tools. Beneath the poisonous light of a green moon, ordinary people must become killers—or feed the darkness waiting beyond their fields.
