With the steam ban still looming over the vast majority of railways, I decided to take some time to have a little look around the various areas of interest along the Rother Valley Railway as they continue to stride towards reunification with the Kent & East Sussex Railway.  At the start of this video, we start off at Northbridge Street in Robertsbridge as the first road crossing of three has now been installed. Moving down to Salehurst we see track laying has begun between Junction Road & the Salehurst Halt site before stumbling back to Tenterden Bank to see Class 20 no 20087 ‘Reginald T. Latham’ with the last service train back from Bodiam, soon not to be the westward terminus of the line.

If you can spare a few quid, please do consider donating to the cause: https://www.rvr.org.uk/fundraising/

Slight disclaimer: All footage filmed in this video was all accessed via public footpath/ roads. Don’t trespass onto the construction site.
