Seven desperate hopefuls each weighing between 400-lbs and 800-lbs seek the help of renowned bariatric surgeon Dr. Charles Procter, as they attempt to lose weight and change their lives forever. George is a kind-hearted kindergarten teacher who weighs nearly 700-lbs. George’s mom and brother are terrified that George is going to die, but George is determined to lose weight as a means to help him find love. He’s never gotten over his ex-girlfriend (and co-worker) Cencera, and George is convinced that if he is able to get bariatric surgery and shed the pounds, they will be together again. Dr. Procter asks George to lose 50-lbs to be eligible for bariatric surgery, however as George works hard to lose weight, he discovers that the love he has been missing most is self-love.
