5:25 The 2 "iykyk"s are both referring to his April Fools video, "Can You Beat Pokemon Platinum?" I won't spoil, but he had some of the most insane luck I've ever seen.

Kip is learning how to master the master ball

"...carts sitting here for years in that I've never used my masterball."

Ah, Kip is a true gamer I see. What do you do with a super rare resource? Fucking nothing; its too valuable. Its still sitting in your inventory when the credits are rolling.

15:51 the trick for Roaming Legendaries is that if you leave a town and enter another route, they change locations.

HOWEVER!!

If you leave a town through one of those connecting gates, like the two on either side of Ecruteak, or the four on each side of Saffron City, it doesn’t cause the legendary to change spots.

So what you do is, fly to a city like that until the Legend is on the other side of a gate, then go get it.

1:25 that's false. the masterball works like swift in that both skip their respective formulas, and work automatically. it's impossible for the masterball to fail in gen 1.

34:15 Groudon and Kyogre's mechanics work like most legends, beat the league to fight them again.

50:04 that solution is pretty simple hilariously enough. Just terastelize a Flash Fire Pokemon 🤣

48:34. I made this comment on the main video, but I think it's worth repeating that the Indigo Disk has the easiest method of duplicate Master Balls through the Item Printer. Other game methods are completely random (five matching lotto numbers across various lotteries), take a lot of time (Z-A Royale, item drops in Cerulean Cave), or just don't matter because there aren't that many problem Legendaries/Mythicals in their respective games. Just by farming BP, which you need Blueberry Quests for Snacksworth's treats anyways, it's possible to level up the Item Printer to Master Ball tier and get the chance from the Pokeball Lotto to obtain Master Balls.

50:04. I understand that Michael doesn't usually take game mechanics into consideration unless he's doing region talks, but Terastallization makes the "ability-type combination doesn't exist" point kinda moot. Tera-Ground on anything with Flash Fire. Most Flash Fire users have Fire-type moves, which are super effective on Solgaleo anyways.

5:56 that reminds me of my friend's niece who was raised around the switch era, meaning she didn't know what a Nintendo DS was

After BDSP, I learned that you should actually invest in the more interesting Pokeballs. Quick Balls for later game plus it's funny when they catch legendaries, Dusk, and Timer Balls for when times are tough, Net Balls for water and bug types because there are a ton, you get the idea.

Pro tip for certain legendaries: Worry Seed. It removes their ability which can often be helpful and replaces it with Insomnia, removing their ability to use rest.

Shadow Tag Wobbufett is an hour 1 ban in GSC meta. It's a pre EV meta so it's already stupidly bulky compared to any other meta (for example, GSC Snorlax is so bulky that if Mega Mewtwo X existed in Gen 2, it still wouldn't be able to comfortably 2 shot Snorlax with Submission) so a Wobbufett with Gen 2 bulk AND Shadow Tag would be an unbelievably obnoxious creature.

Something something Tera Shenanigans.

Victini is still event exclusive. Last time it was distributed was back in 2022 to commemorate the VGC world championship that year

2:30 due to the weird catch formula for the various balls in gen 1 a great ball has a higher catch rate then an ultra ball IF it has MORE then half health if i remember correctly.

8:00 that's literally how I ended up getting my first full odds shiny ever, in HeartGold I was trying to catch Mewtwo and it kept on killing itself with Struggle, and it happened so many times that eventually it popped up shiny and that was the one that finally stayed in the ball

Remember, the child who used their master ball on a level 2 rattata got more use out of it then the person who never used it

What took you so long? I was waiting for this!

10:00 I HATE that I now have to always have an aux to usb-c adapter on my headphones just to watch YouTube on my phone

51:02 Yeah, I caught the wild Miradon in Violet in a Pokeball, because I wanted my entire team to be in pokeballs. Took like, 2 resets and a lot of ball, but I got them.
