Try a dip well for your pens. You can get one with a wooden base that tilts the ink well towards you. 😊

Sometimes the nobs on the calligraphy style pens/tools have a coating that needs to be removed so the nib can better grab on to the ink. You can do this with alcohol or soapy water but Google your options. I view it like having to wash the brush protector out of a new paint brush. Also the viscosity of the ink matters. Use gum arabic if your ink is too watery and beads up or refuses to stick to the nib, or ox gall if your ink is too thick or dry and refuses to release from the tines. I've done all of these but please Google/research yourself to see what works best to get the outcome you are looking for.

If you want a dip pen that lasts a long time before you have to re-dip, get a glass dip pen. I can get half a page of writing before I have to reload. I've collected a few. They have a spiraled tip that holds the ink.

I use those two fingered gloves all of the time with every art project. “Why” you ask. I’m left handed. It prevents me from smearing my work , especially colored pencil. So if you’re a lefty…….

I forgot to say one last thing about the printers. The Kodak, on the 4th pass, it laminates the photo. I felt I needed that because I get splatter everywhere, and I can wipe it off!😂

Hi Tara, those Dr PH Martin Bombay inks look amazing, but I noticed that the packaging says they're India Ink. I wouldn't advise putting those into a fountain pen as India Ink contains shellac and will clog your pen. Instead, use them with the dip pen.
I love drawing with dip pen and experimenting with all the different types of nib. I have the Speedball set that you've shown here and really enjoy it. My favourite is the crow quill 😀

I like using glass dip pens. I like the fountain pens with a cartridge. Mostly I like how it makes me slow down when writing, and it is more relaxing.

For photo quality I would suggest the Liene n200 because it uses dye sublimation for the photos, and they are amazing. I bought one for my daughter who wanted a new IVY. She was like wow, the photos are amazing, I’ll keep it! 😆 then I bought myself one! We also own their PixCut S1 that also has like a mini cutter in it so you can make stickers get her shaped, so that one you can put sticker paper or regular paper in it. I love them both!! not gonna go back and look at that brand of that dip pen with the blue because that’s the kind I want.

I chose the Kodak 3x3 printer, and it does not have a sticker back. I chose it because it has a 4 pass printing. I watched a video of a guy testing the printers, and the zink was not as true to color, but I think you can choose black and white. Also I found small album to keep my reference photos in, and it is certainly a better selection for 2x3 printers.
