I absolutely love the way Marina says hello to Richard each episode. She always sounds utterly delighted he’s turned up and it’s very endearing.

Hearing about the Beckhams is entertaining precisely, because it doesn’t really matter to me.

"She saved up her pocket money" absolutely killed me 😂

I am not sure that a Bride ( I say this as someone who doesn't "do" weddings") is unreasonable in thinking that they should be atop the list and not effectively put in second place at best.
I am also in the not emotionally moved, observer group.

I don’t know if anyone really cares about the Beckhams, but as Richard says, in this crazy world of horrible stuff, this is light relief. It isn’t a terrible family tragedy, just spolit rich family games.

As a Ghanaian Logger, I enjoyed this one.

I very much enjoyed Richard’s (11:09) story about wishing his Mom happy birthday on social media and how that gave her a better gift than a private message could.
Thank you for providing a new, positive, perspective that I hadn’t considered.

Every family wedding I have attended there has been a punch up. It was only when I started going to my friends weddings I didn't realise that it wasn't normal. At least at my brothers wedding it wasn't our family.

Zuckerberg doesnt need fame to make money for his kids. The Beckhams did. So, it's not comparing apples with apples.
When I was Brooklyn's age I had a rift with my folks. It's almost a coming of age moment.
Actor Ben Mendleson once said when you grow up famous, everyone gets to see your dirty nappies.
I hope this strange but loving family get through this. And Brooklyn, just so you know, 100% of families have strangeness, but not all are loving.
It'll be a lesson for your parents, but its not worth throwing away loving parents, which so many people never had.

I wish all of them well.

Can I just give out a shout out to Marina's pullover? She is always wearing the most cozy looking and whimsical things.

As a couple of contrary examples to the celebrity parenting of celebrity children, look at Daniel Radcliffe who doesn't even publicly admit what his now 3 year old son's name is and refuses to allow any photograph at all be published, or Matt Damon who while proud of his daughters (and one step-daughter) never dragged them out to public events until they were in their teens when he gave them the option to attend or not attend. Ditto Christopher Nolan and his sons and daughter. I may be an old fuddy-duddy but I much prefer their attitude to raising kids as a famous parent and allowing them to make their own decisions about how they may monetise that reflected fame .

Parents are always embarrassing at some point or other to their children. Weddings are no different. There is always something that is really memorable, good or bad. Something to laugh about in the future.

Re: "replacements", an example that comes to mind,: when Angus Deayton left HIGNFY.

Ohhhh gosh utterly dismissing the emotion of that young bride feeling offended on her wedding day, that's not very compassionate nor understanding!! Not only does almost every bride feel totally stressed out , exhausted and probably sleep deprived too on her wedding day, but do you really think it was a one-off isolated example of her feeling over-shadowed, ignored, unprioritized ??? Usually we don't "over-react" out of the blue but after a long chain of very small incidents that are very hard to explain to anyone else, but on top of that every bride believes she should be the centre of attention on her wedding day!! That was a bloody big straw that broke her!!
