Such a good quote from the video: “I want my degree to mean something five years from now.” The current extent of college hacking is pretty new, especially as it relates to credits from places like Sophia. We don’t know how this will all be viewed in five to ten years.

I swear the universe brought me to your page. I've been talking about going back to school but have been telling my husband that i don't want to be in school for 4+ years before it pays off. And then you just showed up out of nowhere.

That’s not true.. Employers are hardly aware of competency based programs across the board .. what employer specifically does not want to hire because of UMPI? Name them. ALL THEY WANT TO KNOW IS.. DO YOU HAVE A BACHELORS DEGREE? Did you graduate? I’m in the interview process now… because I’ve outgrown my current role and now I have a bachelor’s degree. NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT THESE SCHOOLS SELF PACED PROGRAM AND I DONT MENTION IT EITHER…

Tired of being in school, I just want to transfer my credits to a university that lets me get my degree by the end of this year. 😮‍💨

Ryan, thanks so very much for taking time to inform us on the pros & cons of pursuing online degrees at these featured universities!
Also, it's great news that WGU is planning a Master's in Psychology! Can you comment on when that's anticipated to be offered?
Thanks, once again, for investing in our career advancement. Very much appreciated!🙏🙏🙏

I think this all depends on your pathway. Some need a degree in order to advance in established careers that require BS/BA for advancement opportunities. And others are looking to get a degree to get in the door in a particular industry. I'm working in a middle management role, so I'm looking for a degree to solidify the over 15 years of experience I have in my field. So a competency based, self-paced degree makes the most sense. That way I can look forward to getting that promotion or raise in the next 12 months.

Your videos give me a hope I thought I lost. I dropped out of my studies years ago due to a severe financial crisis. Now at 37, unemployed and carrying heavy family responsibilities, I am struggling on a very tight budget.

It is frustrating because I have 11 years of experience in marketing strategy, market research, and data analysis, but lacking a degree holds me back. Living in Bangladesh, I cannot attend WGU or qualify for US grants. Is earning a degree still possible for me? A video guiding broke international students starting over late in life would mean the world to me.

I have a degree in general studies ( a bunch of nothing), I'm interested in education . I hope they have something for that. Also, my grades were terrible. Are they forgiving?
