Welcome to my reaction/commentary/first time watching of THE OWL HOUSE 2x7 ("Eda's Requiem"), and this time we are introduced to Eda's friend from her past, Raine, and the build-up to a growing rebellion against the Emperor's coven is already SUPER exciting as they lead the Bard Coven and we're going against other Coven Heads in the way. The use of music in this episode is so beautiful. Music is already magical in its own way so attaching actual magic to it only makes sense. Also I love Raine (maybe being a former violinist makes me feel biased towards them, idk), so happy they’ve finally arrived! They bring out a new side to Eda that we haven’t seen yet. She’s always been free spirited, but in that flashback, before the curse, there was this feeling of innocence and feeling of being unburdened (the perks of being young, right?). Getting to see that really makes the curse all the more tragic.
I hope you’re doing well and I can’t wait for the next episode!

Darius who's the master of the magic using disgusting goo is a neat freak
Eberwolf who's magic is based around taming and controlling beast is feral.
and there's more in the future (only saying that because I know Darkry have finished TOH on Patreon :3)
I think it's a really cool idea and makes those characters stand out more in fantasy landscape
also, the way that eda kneels onto the ground to succumb to the magic faster is absolutely heartbreaking. 💔💔
P.S. Knowing that you have already finished the show long before your backdrop changed, At the end of this month the Owl House is returning through a graphic novel titled the Long Lived King, WHICH IS ONLY 2 WEEKS AWAY, I CAN’T WAIT THAT LONG!!!😱😱😱😁😁😁🧙🧙🧙
